Kopite Girl

The Greatest Ever Song Lyrics

Recommended Posts

I couldnt say where shes coming from,

But I just met a lady named dinah-moe humm

She stroll on over, say look here, bum,

I got a forty dollar bill say you cant make me cum

(yjes cant do it)

She made a bet with her sister whos a little dumb

She could prove it any time all men was scum

I dont mind that she called me a bum,

But I knew right away she was really gonna cum

(so I got down to it)

I whipped off her bloomersn stiffened my thumb

An applied rotation on her sugar plum

I pokedn stroked till my wrist got numb

But I still didnt hear no dinah-moe humm,

Dinah-moe humm

Dinah-moe humm

Dinah-moe humm

Where this dinah-moe

Comin from

Done spent three hours

An I aint got a crumb

From the dinah-moe, dinah-moe, dinah-moe

From the dinah-moe humm

I got a spot that gets me hot

But you aint been to it

I got a spot that gets me hot

But you aint been to it

I got a spot that gets me hot

But you aint been to it

I got a spot that gets me hot

But you aint been to it

cause I cant get into it

Unless I get out of it

An I gotta get out of it

Before I get into it

cause I never get into it

Unless I get out of it

An I gotta be out of it

To get myself into it

(she looked over at me with a glazed eye

And some bovine perspiration on her upper lip area

And she said...)

Just get me wasted

An youre half-way there

cause if my minds tore up

Then my body dont care

I rubbed my chinny-chin-chin

An said my-my-my

What sort of thing

Might this lady get high upon?

I checked out her sister

Who was holdin the bet

An wondered what kind of trip

The young lady was on

The forty dollar bill didnt matter no more

When her sister got nekkid an laid on the floor

She said dinah-moe might win the bet

But she could use a little ------- if I wasnt done yet

I told her...

Just because the sun

Want a place in the sky

No reason to assume

I wouldnt give her a try

So I pulled on her hair

Got her legs in the air

An asked if she had any cooties on there

(whaddya mean cooties! no cooties on me!)

She was buns-up kneelin

Buns up!

I was wheelin an dealin

Wheelin an dealin an ooooh!

She surrended to the feelin

She sweetly surrendered

An she started in to squealin

Dinah-moe watched from the edge of the bed

With her lips just a-twitchin an her face gone red

Some drool rollin down

From the edge of her chin

While she spied the condition

Her sister was in

She quivered n quaked

An clutched at herself

While her sister made a joke

bout her mental health

till dinah-moe finally

Did give in

But I told her

All she really needed

Was some discipline...

Kiss my aura...dora...

M-m-m...its real angora

Would yall like some more-a?

Right here on the flora?

An how bout you, fauna?

Ywanna?

Mmm...sound like ymight be chokin on somethin

Did you say you want some more?

Well, heres some more...

Mmm, sure...listen

Dyou think I could interest you

In a pair of zircon-encrusted tweezers?

Mmm...tweezers!

Here, lemme sterilize em...

Gimme your lighter...

I couldnt say where shes coming from,

But I just met a lady named dinah-moe humm

She stroll on over, say look here, bum,

I got a forty dollar bill say you cant make me cum

(yjes cant do it)

I whipped off her bloomersn stiffened my thumb

An applied rotation on her sugar plum

I pokedn stroked till my wrist got numb

An you know I heard some dinah-moe humm,

Dinah-moe humm

Dinah-moe

Dinah-moe

Dinah-moe

Dinah-moe

This girl is easy meat

I seen her on the street

See-thru blouse an' a tiny little dress

Her manner indiscreet...

I knew she was

Easy, easy, easy meat

Easy, easy, easy meat

Easy, easy, easy, easy

Easy meat, easy meat, easy meat, easy meat

She wanna take me home

Make me sweat and moan

Rub my head and beat me off

With a copy of Rollin'Stone

Easy, easy, easy meat

Easy, easy, easy meat

Easy, easy, easy, easy

Easy meat, easy meat, easy meat, easy meat

I told her I was late

I had another date

I can't get off on the Rollin'Stone,

But the robots think it's great...

I knew she was

Easy, easy, easy meat

Easy, easy, easy meat

Easy, easy,

Easy, easy

Easy meat, easy meat, easy meat, easy meat

Easy

Aw the girl's so easy!

Easy

Saw her tiny titties

Through her see-thru blouse

I just had to take the girl to my house

Easy

Meat

You kind of see chdll4me's point though. Zappa was remembered more for his sneer on society and outlandish lyrics rather than his guitar playing. Jimi Hendrix was unique in his time and quite misunderstood but there were guitarists around at the time who were technically as capable, they just weren't shagging amps and burning guitars on stage and therefore not as prominent.

-steph goes to look at video and take a chunk out of the twat who thinks hendrix is overrated-

To compare Zap and Jimi is like comparing a motorbike to a speedboat.

BradSpeedMan: I have to side with dribbler and Kopite Girl here. Zappa was technically adept in his guitar playing but his real, lasting strength was his skills as composer and provocateur. He not only "said" what some of us were thinking but did so creatively and humorously.

If Hendrix had never written a damn thing it wouldn't have mattered. No one was playing guitar the way he did when he broke through between 1966 & 1967. As fine as Clapton and Beck were at this time - to name those two - neither had the innovation Hendrix brought to his playing. In fact the both of them, literally and figuratively, stood back in awe at what J.H. was capable of.

In the autumn of my madness when my hair is turning grey

for the milk has finally curdled and I've nothing left to say

When all my thoughts are spoken (save my last departing birds)

bring all my friends unto me and I'll strangle them with words

In the autumn of my madness which in coming won't be long

for the nights are now much darker and the daylight's not so strong

and the things which I believed in are no longer quite enough

for the knowing is much harder and the going's getting rough

Beautiful lyrics & musci combination. WIthout the music, the lyrics lose some strength. Radiohead at its gloomiest.

EXIT MUSIC (For a film)

Wake... from your sleep

The drying of your tears

Today.. we escape

We escape.

Pack and get dressed

Before your father hears us

Before.. all hell.. breaks loose.

Breathe... keep breathing

Don't lose.. your nerve.

Breathe... keep breathing

I can't do this.. alone.

Sing us a song

A song to keep us warm

There's such a chill

Such a chill.

You can laugh

A spineless laugh

We hope that your rules and wisdom choke you

Now we are one

In everlasting peace

We hope that you choke.. that you choke

Ah yeah. Ah.

Sorry

I did not mean

To blow your mind

But that sh1t happens to me

All the time..

Now take a look

And what's the problem with mainstream? :P Karma Police is one of the most beautiful songs ever made, there IS a reason why it became mainstream!

Sometimes things become massive because of their own mediocrity, others, because of their own greatness.

(And if David thinks I am trying to justify myself for quoting an ABBA song well, he is damn right!) :whistling:

I just can't get enough of these guys. If you have a moment please listen to this track-

"Another Morning Stoner" by ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead

Please ignore the band name and song title, neither really represent them well. These guys write some really emotive songs. I get the feeling this one's about maybe a musician realizing that not only does he love music more than he loves the person he's with, but music kind of defines him to the point where he just can't make a compromise for someone else's beliefs. Kind of full on, but quite beautiful if you hear it.

Are you asleep, are you in a dream?

The copper shades of a morning

Distant lights beckon and fade

Unwritten songs of another day

I feared that you would never be

Every song in the world for me

I took your hand, led you astray

You cursed the worlds I longed to save

Is heaven to you a perfect place?

The look of sorrow on a sufferer's face

A field of lives to sow and to reap

That some of us will never see?

Why is it I don't feel the same?

Are my longings to be blamed

For not seeing heaven like you would see

Why is a song the world for me?

What is forgiveness?

It's just a dream

What is forgiveness?

It's everything

Radiohead: One of a small handful of contemporary bands I have any knowledge of, and this thanks primarily to my son. When everything jells in one of their songs you can easily lose yourself, which is perhaps the ultimate compliment by a listener.

...and I for one will grant Andres his ABBA moment due to his fetish for Swedish blonds.

Especially the females.

(Exits singing the chorus from Waterloo.)

I'm not massive on music, but I particularly like this song by Dire Straits:

well it's a strange old game - you learn it slow

one step forward and it's back to go

you're standing on the throttle

you're standing on the brakes

in the groove 'til you make a mistake

sometimes you're the windshield

sometimes you're the bug

sometimes it all comes together baby

sometimes you're a fool in love

sometimes you're the louisville slugger

sometimes you're the ball

sometimes it all comes together baby

sometimes you're going to lose it all

you gotta know happy - you gotta know glad

because you're gonna know lonely

and you're gonna know bad

when you're rippin' and a ridin'

and you're coming on strong

you start slippin' and slidin'

and it all goes wrong because

sometimes you're the windshield

sometimes you're the bug

sometimes it all comes together baby

sometimes you're a fool in love

sometimes you're the louisville slugger baby

sometimes you're the ball

sometimes it all comes together baby

sometimes you're going to lose it all

one day you got the glory

one day you got none

one day you're a diamond

and then you're a stone

everything can change

in the blink of an eye

so let the good times roll

before we say goodbye, because

sometimes you're the windshield

sometimes you're the bug

sometimes it all comes together baby

sometimes you're a fool in love

sometimes you're the louisville slugger baby

sometimes you're the ball

sometimes it all comes together baby

sometimes you're going to lose it all

Dave Matthews Band Lie In Our Graves

When I step into the light

My arms are open wide

When I step into the light

My eyes searching wildly

Would you not like to be

Sitting on top of the world with

Your legs hanging free

Would you not like to be ok, ok, ok?

When I'm walking by the water

Splish splash me and you takin a bath

When I'm walking by the water

Come up through my toes

To my ankles

To my head

To my soul

And I'm blown away

When I'm walking by the water

Splish splash me and you takin a bath

When I'm walking by the water

Come up through my toes

To my ankles

To my head

To my soul

And I'm blown away

I can't believe that we would

Lie in our graves

Wondering if we had

Spent our living days well

I can't believe that we would

Lie in our graves

Dreaming of things that we

Might have been

I can't believe that we would

Lie in our graves

Wondering if we had

Spent our living days well

I can't believe that we would

Lie in our graves

Dreaming of things that we

Might have been

Would you not like to be

I can't believe that you

Would not like to be

Would you not like to be

Ok, ok, ok

How can I forgot it!

Kayleigh by Marillion

Do you remember, chalk hearts melting on a playground wall?

Do you remember, dawn escaped from moonwashed college halls?

Do you remember, the cherry blossom in the market square?

Do you remember, I thought it was confetti in our hair

By the way didn't I break your heart?

Please excuse me, I never meant to break your heart.

So sorry I never meant to break your heart.

But you broke mine.

Kayleigh is it too late to say I'm sorry.

Kayleigh could we get it together again.

I can't go on pretending that it came to a natural end.

Kayleigh I never thought I'd miss you,

and Kayleigh I'd hoped that we'd always be friends.

We said our love would last forever,

so how did it come to this bitter end.

Do you remember, barefoot on the lawn with shooting stars

Do you remember, loving on the floor in Belsize Park

Do you remember, dancing in stilletos in the snow

Do you remember, you never understood I had to go.

By the way, didn't I break your heart ?

Please excuse me I never meant to break your heart

So sorry, I never meant to break your heart,

But you broke mine.

Kayleigh, I just want to say I'm sorry,

but Kayleigh I'm too scared to pick up the phone.

To find you've found another lover to patch up our broken home.

Kayleigh, I'm still trying to write that love song,

Kayleigh it's more important to me now you're gone.

Maybe it'll prove that we were right

Or it will prove that I was wrong.

A lyrics thread with no mention of Bob Dylan?

A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall

Oh, where have you been, my blue-eyed son?

Oh, where have you been, my darling young one?

I’ve stumbled on the side of twelve misty mountains,

I’ve walked and I’ve crawled on six crooked highways,

I’ve stepped in the middle of seven sad forests,

I’ve been out in front of a dozen dead oceans,

I’ve been ten thousand miles in the mouth of a graveyard,

And it’s a hard, and it’s a hard, it’s a hard, and it’s a hard,

And it’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall.

Oh, what did you see, my blue-eyed son?

Oh, what did you see, my darling young one?

I saw a newborn baby with wild wolves all around it

I saw a highway of diamonds with nobody on it,

I saw a black branch with blood that kept drippin’,

I saw a room full of men with their hammers a-bleedin’,

I saw a white ladder all covered with water,

I saw ten thousand talkers whose tongues were all broken,

I saw guns and sharp swords in the hands of young children,

And it’s a hard, and it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard,

And it’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall.

And what did you hear, my blue-eyed son?

And what did you hear, my darling young one?

I heard the sound of a thunder, it roared out a warnin’,

Heard the roar of a wave that could drown the whole world,

Heard one hundred drummers whose hands were a-blazin’,

Heard ten thousand whisperin’ and nobody listenin’,

Heard one person starve, I heard many people laughin’,

Heard the song of a poet who died in the gutter,

Heard the sound of a clown who cried in the alley,

And it’s a hard, and it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard,

And it’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall.

Oh, who did you meet, my blue-eyed son?

Who did you meet, my darling young one?

I met a young child beside a dead pony,

I met a white man who walked a black dog,

I met a young woman whose body was burning,

I met a young girl, she gave me a rainbow,

I met one man who was wounded in love,

I met another man who was wounded with hatred,

And it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard,

It’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall.

Oh, what’ll you do now, my blue-eyed son?

Oh, what’ll you do now, my darling young one?

I’m a-goin’ back out ’fore the rain starts a-fallin’,

I’II walk to the depths of the deepest black forest,

Where the people are many and their hands are all empty,

Where the pellets of poison are flooding their waters,

Where the home in the valley meets the damp dirty prison,

Where the executioner’s face is always well hidden,

Where hunger is ugly, where souls are forgotten,

Where black is the color, where none is the number,

And I’ll tell it and think it and speak it and breathe it,

And reflect it from the mountain so all souls can see it,

Then I’ll stand on the ocean until I start sinkin’,

But I’ll know my song well before I start singin’,

And it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard,

It’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall.

I'm sorry Bob Dylan is nothing on these guys:

What you will and what you won't

What you do and what you don't

What you can and what you can't

This is what you need to know:

Loved you though it didn't show

(whispered)

Ich liebe dich nicht, du liebst mich nicht, aha

Ich liebe dich nicht, du liebst mich nicht, aha

Ich liebe dich nicht, du liebst mich nicht, aha

Ich liebe dich nicht, du liebst mich nicht.

I know why you ran away, aha

Understand you couldn't stay, aha

Wonder where you are today, aha

After all was said and done

It was right for you to run!

Ich liebe dich nicht, du liebst mich nicht, aha

Ich liebe dich nicht, du liebst mich nicht, aha

Ich liebe dich nicht, du liebst mich nicht, aha

Ich liebe dich nicht, du liebst mich nicht

And not forgetting "Toast" by Street Band - featuring Paul Young before he became Paul Young (if you get my meaning)....

Morning all. I’d like to tell you about when I was a young boy. I must have been three or four months old at the time. I didn’t really know what I wanted, and if I did, I wouldn’t have been able to tell anybody, ‘cos all I could do was gurgle. So I sat there in me highchair, thinking one day, looking at me tray and thinking what I’d give for a meal on there. So I started looking round to see what I could have. I was rubbing me eggy soldier in me head, trying to think, and then I looked in the corner and there’s a little breadbin with its mouth open, just staring at me, like. And then I looked in and I saw bread.

I thought, oh yeah, I’ll have toast,

A little piece of toast.

Well, then I started getting older,

I hated this, I hated that,

Expensive state was ludicrous

And cafés couldn’t cater for the finer things in life:

The upper crust was not for me,

I could tell that.

So I’d go back home,

Switch the kitchen light on,

Put the grill on,

Slip a slice under

And have toast,

A little piece of toast.

‘Cos there’s so much to choose from.

There’s brown bread, white bread,

All sorts of wholemeal bread;

It comes in funny packages

With writing on the side,

But it doesn’t matter which one you have

‘Cos when you cut the crusts off,

Have it with marmalade

Or butter, cheese, tomatoes, beans,

Banana

Or chocolate if you’re strange,

It doesn’t really matter.

Oh no, it all goes with toast,

Just toast.

I’m gonna think about it some…

That’s toast, mmm yeah,

Just toast,

That’s toast,

Just toast.

Well I go down the supermarket

With me basket in me hand,

I’m walking from one counter to another

Trying to find the bread stall,

But I can’t find it anywhere

And then I bump into a mother

With a baby in a basket

And she says

‘Oh look, you’ve started him off again,

I come down here for a little bit of peace and quiet

To get some bread to go home to make toast,

Just toast,

I like toast’

Yeah, but I don’t half like toast.

OK, scrape that toast, boys.

That’s toast,

Yeah, just toast.

[spoken]

I can’t think about it any more. I’ve got to go and have some, it’s no good. Here listen, I’m getting a bit browned off standing here. Me too. Shall we go and have some toast? Good idea. Why not? OK. I’ve got the grill on. Got any brown bread? Yeah! Have you got wholemeal bread? Wheatmeal bread? All sorts of toast. Let’s go… (Sounds like they then make some toast in the kitchen)
