Shummacher Myths To Be Destroyed One By One...

Recommended Posts

It should be mandatory to watch past seasons instead of merely remembering them before comparing Senna against Sakamoto, or Dijon 1979 against Valencia (any year).

Less skills nowadays? Nobody remembers the bunch of paid amateurs crashing and barely racing for a couple of races before being kicked out and replaced with a new and equally useless guy? All those drivers and teams that raced only a couple of races a season, failing to even make it to the race or qualy? Or those doomed teams and false starts as half of them stalled before the lights went green?

Even more so? Nobody recalls those races where nothing ever happeneed besides the usual DNFs for boiled engines? Those awful tracks (Las vegas!), those awful teams (Eurobrun!) and those awful drivers (Salazar!)

The predictability of races in the turbo dominance era? And the only option for a surprise was due to reliability but that makes for a hardly satisfying issue when you watch a guy's race ruined because of a mechanical problem.

In 20 years, on TF1 forums, Danny, a.k.a. DanicaIIIthegreat will be posting here about how boring is the new Anctartica Tilke Jr track, and how exciting was this decade, full with epic battles like Imola 2005 and 2006...

Of course we remember the boring races of yesteryear.

Its just that the boring races of today consist of 'well, lets drive around and follow each other, as if I attempt to overtake, I'll get a drive-through, stop-go or 5 to 10 place drop on the grid.'

Then when somebody defies that, they get a penalty.

They'll be introducing a no-toilet break before the race as Kubica let one off in the drivers briefing.

I *was* a fan of Kimi until he made so many stupid errors that cost him so much that I couldn't really get behind him..

I did some "homework" and I realised I missed this post in this particular thread..

So, if Kimi made so many stupid mistakes that I'm hardly aware of, I guess your 're not a fan of Alonso anymore after his first year at Ferrari, or let's say half-year. It must be utterly disappointing for you I'm sure.

And don't tell me you were'nt an Alonso fan...I've got proof :D

Nor you can be MS fan after many mistakes in 2003 which almost cost him the title in a significantly superior car (his main competitor was driving a 1-year old updated car) and with the help of TyreGATE...

Or after his mistakes in 2006... when Alonso was almost perfect...

I beg to differ. I'm not a blind Schumacher fan but I never saw him make any mistakes. Even Alonso said that the teutonic god of speed (blessed be his horse-powered chariot) was the one responsible for F1 no longer being a (mere) sport. :)

eh, I want to be like Schumacher.... a human who made no mistakes. It's very hard for us mere mortals to aspire to such standards... :P

Well, if you never saw him make any mistakes, you either ARE blind... or have not watched F1 during his career...

Ok. Just watch these videos...

(4 mistakes in 2004, when he clearly had a vastly dominant car is too much even for the die-hard fanboy... Remember: when you drive a far dominant car, you dont need to take it to the edge, specially when you know your teammate is not allowed to win...)

Just look at youtube, you will find plenty (although I think you will close your eye to not see?)

Even if you are blind, you should have read that he crashed in Hill in 1994 because of a previous mistake, after which his best way to win the WDC was cheating...

When Alonso said F1 is no longer a sport, he was probably referring to FIA's manipulation of what we used to know as "sport".

I've watched those bollocking videos 82 times now and I can't see a blasted thing for all the bollocking writing in the way.

One more (only two allowed...)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZTvwKMzQCY&feature=related

Hmmmmm I think I can see your problem with statistics now. You said one more (only 2 allowed) then posted 2. Or maybe I can't count :eusa_think:

I'm not really sure what's worse :-

People who would actually spend time compiling a video of a sportsperson's mistakes just to convince the world said sportsperson was crap.

Or somebody who wants to convince the world a sportsperson is crap, but then can't be arsed even compiling a video of their mistakes, so just plagiarises somebody else's random video and puts writing over the top.

Or finally somebody who would post bollocking crap videos on a forum as support to an argument that a particular sportsperson is crap. Oh sorry, my mistake, I meant to support an argument where people pretend they are not really trying to say that the said sportsperson is crap, just that he's not 'god' as said sportsperson's fanboys would have you believe. However we will just spend 12 pages saying he's crap, but will just keep reiterating 'I am not saying he's crap', just so it looks like we don't really think he's crap and we're just trying to enlighten you poor idiots.

I hope that's as clear as mud.

I counted correctly: 2 allowed media + 1 link (without the media.)

BTW, I was answering a guy who said he never saw any mistake from MS, which I found to be hilarious... to say the least.

Glorious youtube: spent a minute and find a lot...

I'm not really sure what's worse :-

What about people who cannot accept the facts... And get mad when they are forced to see the undeniable reality brought by simple youtube videos???

I dont agree with everything the youtuber wrote. But at least I can see that most of what his wrote cannot be denied, and were coincidently aligned to the points I was making...

I dont go that far in calling him crap (and I think the youtuber didnt call him that either... Maybe he did, but I dont remember)...

But denying the truth about the special circumstances of his career, trying to pretend RB had the same opportunities, trying to pretend he was not driving a superior car for most of his career, etc... etc... only makes me laugh... :) :)

But I am really sorry, I dont like religions, but I should let people live their dreams (a good friend of mine advise me on that: let them believe what they want...)

I just cannot.

So, I am really sorry if these videos hurt you... But if it did hurt, then it must be that you were touched by the truth that you were not ready for...

Ahh I see what you did now, you wanted us to make an effort and click on a link even though your other videos were embedded :whistling:

BTW, I was answering a guy who said he never saw any mistake from MS, which I found to be hilarious... to say the least.

I knew exactly what you were doing and who you were replying to. It still doesn't change the fact that you actually looked on youtube for evidence of Schumi's errors. He's had over 250 races. So what's that, 250 races + 250 qualifiers + 500?? practice sessions maybe? That would be 1000 sessions or more. If you can't find mistakes in that lot, or even believed that there would be no mistakes in that lot, you would need your head testing, surely? And I believe Schumi was fairly legendary for spinning off, etc, in practice sessions.

I'm suprised you didn't post the video were Schumi is smiling at Senna's death too, just for good luck. It actually happened, by the way, it wasn't carefully edited by an bitter anti Schumi fan.

Oh and I suggest you re-read the post you were replying to. I suggest you may find a certain combination of cheek and tongue, if you look carefully enough.

Glorious youtube: spent a minute and find a lot...

No porn, though, so I really can't see that much point in it, to be honest.

What about people who cannot accept the facts... And get mad when they are forced to see the undeniable reality brought by simple youtube videos???

What about them? I would be careful about using undeniable reality and youtube in the same sentence, though, as it would suggest an insanity of really geeky proportions.

And if you think I am mad, then you've got it right Shields baby. I'm seething, absolutely seething. Look - Grrrrrrrr. That's how mad I am. If it wasn't for the damn internet and youtube, we would all still believe the Schumi is the best ever and never made any mistakes. Damn the internet to hell, TO HELL, I say.

I dont agree with everything the youtuber wrote. But at least I can see that most of what his wrote cannot be denied, and were coincidently aligned to the points I was making...

Your point, I believe, was that you don't think Schumi was the best, but you weren't saying he was crap, possibly even 1 of the best, but definitely not the best. However, you wanted to make a thread to make sure you indoctrinated us with the mantra that Schumi can't possibly be the best because he raced against Rubens and other drivers who you think were crap or didn't have the same opportunities. Am I close? If so, how do those videos align to that point?

I dont go that far in calling him crap (and I think the youtuber didnt call him that either... Maybe he did, but I dont remember)...

Well, I think 1 of your posts said he's not crap, but not the best, possibly 1 of the best, but definitely not the best, but not crap either. So I would hope you wouldn't go as far as calling him crap, if you believe him to be 1 of the best, but definitely not the best.

But denying the truth about the special circumstances of his career, trying to pretend RB had the same opportunities, trying to pretend he was not driving a superior car for most of his career, etc... etc... only makes me laugh... :) :)

Indeed, those special circumstances were everything. I believe Ferrari chose him simply because he was the only driver who said yes to would he be ok being seen with a red helmet by millions of people. Bollock me, that was a lucky break for them.

I think therein lies the whole problem. You believe everyone should conform to your opinion and you have no interest in having a reasonable discussion with anyone, let alone conceding that other people may have valid points/opinions too. That is arrogant presumption. Hoever, if that's all you want then yes, Schumi is crap and your is the only valid opinion on everything Schumi.

And yes, I am so hurt. I think I must have watched virtually all of Schumi's races, seems I was watching F1 before he started, when all I had to do was wait for 16 years then watch some bitter, jealous idiot's ramblings on youtube. That's thousands of hours of my bollocking life I'll never get back :dam:

Well bollock me with the yard brush, is that really you Paul? Never seen you frustratificated by an anti fan boy another poster before.

Must admit, I'm surprised this thread went past eleventeen pages, it's not like MS has done much in his career ffs.

If it sounded that way, it wasn't meant to be. More a tongue in cheek with a hint of reality. There's got to be a serious sentence in my post somwhere, I think

"Unfortunately, I cannot say it has been that way at all the races. There have often been problems - especially on my car, in terms of the consistency - that were not always noticed from the outside. You only saw that I was slower, [but] both cars have not always been the same."

Believe it or not, that phrase came from MS' s mouth, not from Rubens one... unsure.gif

Excuses excuses excuses...

Those willing to accept them (I really believe him this time) should be willing to reflect about past time when exactly the opposite happened with Michael and Rubens back then at Ferrari...

Why is this thread still around ?

Do some dumbass fanboys think Hill was actually good or Senna anywhere near as an all-rounder as Schu ?!

Stop this nonsense, you don't win 7 WDCs and 91 races by being crap or merely average.

All New Zealanders host racist morning chat shows and laugh like Paul Henry.

Rubens Barrichello has 6 WDCs (five at Ferrari and one at Brawn).

Damon Hill was the second best driver in F1 history. He'd be the first if B.O.B. did a song featuring him, but evidently, he's the world's only musician to not fill such a role.

They say this is a fail, but I disagree. It's a lifestyle (my lifestyle, of course) and being intolerant of that would be ignorant, biased, and unqualified to use the Internet.

128924889841551206.jpg

"I like your beard" might be one of the better lines that's ever ended a song. Not like I'd ever listen to Ke$ha or any of that other auto-tuned top 40 stuff. No, not me, never. And by never I mean always.

Ross Brawn is a 7-time WDC. Not sure what that makes Michael. But I guess Kimi was right all along. Taking a **** was more important than that silly ceremony in 2006 because, well, it was all meaningless now wasn't it?

Michael's far too "meh" of a driver these days for me to have an opinion. Sutil would be interesting in that ride, but if you want to sell cars, you're not pushing Michael out. Can Nico instead; there will never be 400 page threads on him and rightfully so.

That sounds like a good challenge for us.....who's up for trying?
