Massa Is A Goner And Ferrari Has Finally Got It

138 posts in this topic

At long last, the drive wasted at Ferrari will not be Massa's anymore. Todt's son and sole reason for Massa's long stay in Ferrari is knocking on every team's door and very few give a damn. Massa's worth is no more than the knowledge that might have rubbed on him while at Ferrari. We all reckon that knowledge is very, very little indeed.

It brings up questions of driver management in "top" teams. One could argue that Massa got himself renewed on account of letting Kimi win Brazil 07 (delaying Alonso's 3rd WDC). But that, in and of itself, is the point. "Top" teams screw big time when it comes to driver choices and this brings about serious shortcomings when it comes to racing.

The experiment-gone-bad Hamilton is well known to all no matter how deep in denial some still are. On the trails of this one alone, Alonso and Kovalainen were nearly destroyed in exchange for nothing whatsoever.

Ferrari is even worse. Schumacher "retired" because, he claims, didn't want Massa (allegedly, his "friend") to be fired when Kimi came on board. Naturally, the intra-story is completely different but that is another matter. And so, Kimi came to Ferrari to then be dismissed over Massa in order to bring Alonso in. None of this makes sense from the perspective of having the best guys in the best drives.

Renault did his strange moves with Trulli and Fisichella until "discovering" Kubica.

RBR is also in the process of "discovering" Webber while holding on to a Vettel that does not quite arrive and deliver.

And, now, Schumacher makes the stranges of comebacks with a team that last year was managed by an alledged "genius" yet this year seems not to, at all. Meanwhile, Rosberg rotted in Williams to now play btch to Schumacher.

What this all adds up to is lost, nugatory, trifling seasons. Iow, years gone to waste. One has to go back many years to find a season that was worth its worth because the best drives have been in the hands of rookies when not incompetent sycophants with political or inbreeding connexions and pull.

Of course, there are those (cavallino's shrieking come to mind) that believe, for example, that money grows on GW-free trees gardened by tiny GW-lovely fairies. People such as those consider a conspiracy the simple fact that FIA is a business and its run as such. And so, they will dismiss any criticism over driver management as blasphemy. They are built gullible and "authority" is their beacon and god.

Back to reality, the truth remains. A huge factor that made recent past seasons sucky at best and malignant to motorspot in all truth has been poor driver management. Massa's kick in the arse does not bring about a solution but is fcking good news. Let's hope someone of with proper racing craft comes as replacement and gives Alonso the hardest possible of times. Kubica would be fine by me.

Your driver for Ferrari's freed drive would be...

That's a different kind of crazy. I wonder... nope, Sato would be more fun if diving into wacky choices.

Just normal mid season silly talk. Massa, Weber and Ferrari playing bluffs here. We won't know the actual situation until Monza or later as usual. I seriously hope he doesn't end up at Renault. Losing Kubica will be a big blow. Getting Massa in exchange will be becoming set for extinction. The kid is a hard worker and all, and I respect his 2008 season very much and how hard he tried in 2009. It baffles me how easily he was overshadowed by Alonso on track. It only took Nando a couple of races and despite the apparent closeness in results, you just need to watch them on track to know that he is an anonymous racer in a red car at best. I expected him to be much tougher. After all, he shared the same team with Schumi and Kimi, albeit his situation with the these two drivers was radically different, I give you that. But hearing Rob telling him how to negotiate a corner after 8 years in F1 is...well...not what I expect for a driver that might go for a Renault drive! I'd rather make Petrov as driver number 1 at Renault. And bring somebody that could fully take advantage of Reno's unique atmosphere. Geez, I'd rather bring Button back! Or JV! Anybody but Massa!

For Ferrari? Not Kubica. I want him where he is. Take Webber, instead. Take Schumifukingmacher, take Hamilton and Ron Dennis and give them all a photocopier if you want to give Nando a hard time. But not Kubica.

EDIT: If you hurry up and check Massa's entry on the wikipedia you will find that he died on May 17, in his hotel room at Monaco. :wtf:

Death

Massa was found dead in his hotel room on May 17, 2010, one day after the Monaco Grand Prix. A massive investigation has been launched into this most baffing and mysterious death.

Morbid yet amusing reference in Wikipedia. Talk about lack of selfrespect. That's wikipedia for you, boys and girls.

Regarding Massa, he sucked, sucks, and will suck. There is no season when he didn't suck, nor will there be. Massa is a hyponym of sucking as sucking is a hypernym of Massa... why? Because sucking in Massa's case is a particular and peculiar kind of sucking, namely, sucking the suck out of the living sucking itself to suck even more than just merely uber-sucking.

And, btw, why not Kubica on a Ferrari, again?

I've taken some ribbing from friends about me liking Sato. He's a good racer with a racer's heart, if a bit flawed on-track sometimes. I had the pleasure of watching him race in the Indy race this year at Long Beach.

I think it's telling that Massa's manager is knocking on doors. If Kubica does indeed come to Ferrari, then I would expect a straight swap between Massa and Kubeetza. Massa to Renault and Kubeetza to Ferrari. That's my prediction.

Oh wow Massa is the new mauronic hate figure is he? I guess it figures, the next guy to challenge Alonso in the same car obviously earns that title.

So it is a fact that your blacklisting was a complete lie... as expected.

I've been saying that Massa sucked for ages. That you get it now simply points out that you are of slow wit.

Just a question but if Massa is this awful... how come he beat Kimi and pushed Schumi at times? I was never his biggest fan but he did win me over a little in recent years.

Anyway, come Turkey I think a lot fo his critics will be shutting up.

Did you fix it? Anyway someone has, but next time, just fix such vandalism, it takes a few seconds and it's nice to chip in to help such an immensely useful tool as wikipedia.

Maure, thats hilarious. But I have to add something. Whilst sucking, he pushed Hamilton rather close, no?

I'm not saying that I like Massa, but I don't dislike him.

His 'this is very nices peoples i love you all thanks you very nices i wish nices things happens to me as I'm nices lovelies person' personality is cute, but he needs to toughen up more.

Sure, massa who would have won the WDC for ferrari if it was not for a blown engine or a pit crew messing up in singapore...the guy who was confidently predicted to be crushed by the rather well paid ice-man and yet outdrove him comprehensively...and the man who was regularly outqualifying schumi in his last season...yeah right!!!

You can easly explain it to yourself, late Murray, by answering this simple question, and I know you know this one old hag, who is a WDC, Kimi or Massa?

Beyond that Massa has pushed no one that matter, ever. He has, with the best car on track and/or with a lucky break due to unpredictables or team screw ups, scored better than his teammate very occasionally. If I were a man of bets, I would put any amount on Kimi and/or Schumacher destroying Massa to the point that not even his fcking mother would recognize him.

Says the strangest of the lot while naively confessing he's a peeping-tom in search of fresh flesh.

Even if the whole Piquet business holds any water (yet to be shown), there was an entire season of fckups and the least worse of the contenders won the title. Massa sucks even when it all sucks.

Anyway, come Turkey I think a lot fo his critics will be shutting up.

I almost wish it so for the show and fireworks of the virtuous and righteous caricaturesque lot.

Truth is that:

1) If Massa comes ahead of Alonso, there will be a lot of noise and threads titled "hahahahahaha..." claiming absolute proof, etc, that Alonso is worthless... which is what's happening now.

2) If Massa doesn't come ahead of Alonso, there will be a lot of noise and threads titled "hahahahahaha..." claiming absolute proof, etc, that Alonso is worthless... which is what's happening now.

The resemblance despite the opposite is no accident. It's just contradiction man.

Did you fix it? Anyway someone has, but next time, just fix such vandalism, it takes a few seconds and it's nice to chip in to help such an immensely useful tool as wikipedia.

Amusing. I remember you taking a sht on wikipedia when someone made a fool of you for that little matter of your insistence that Nobel prizes are awarded regardless of when the work took place... boy, didn't you crash and burn there... and dissappeared too as often happens. Hmmm, let me btch slap you, have come up yet with the names of last year's awardees? Yep. What you hear is my laughter.

Massa pushed Hamilton, uffff,... but Hamilton sucked big time himself. As I said before on the topic, do you remember any race during that season when these two morons raced each other? It's hard because there were no more than a couple races at best where the could be seen in the same camera shot. In truth, Massa scored when the Hamilton crashed or fcked up and viceversa. In fact, that season was such a bore that it took the best of FIA to come up with the Brawngate bizwiz in order to out-do themselves... and that's no insignificant deed. Hollywood would've paid big, big bucks for such script.

Massa's personality and other assets? Couldn't give a sht. Maybe he's a stud in bed and can make use of his ubersucking powers in a gay porn career.

I don't think Massa's driving as well as he has done in the past, but that could be due to two major things. He's now a father, and that really affects some drivers, as they become more aware of their own mortality. It's happen a lot through the years when the driver becomes a father, they don't drive on the ragged edge any more. The second thing...oh yeah, it was only last year when he had a great big suspension spring slam into his head!!!! These have huge repercussions on his speed, so yeah he is a bit sucky this season but not for good reason and that doesn't mean he's always been a poor driver.

I don't think Massa is an incredible driver but he has got good results in the past couple of years and has done well with his Ferrari drive. He was exactly what Ferrari needed when Schuey was there, and he kept Kimi honest in 2007 and almost won the title 2008 and had a lot more points than Kimi up to his awful accident. So if you think Massa sucks you'd have to say Kimi sucks.

I think Kubica seems the most likely to take Massa's place. Kubica seems super quick so will be nice to see him in the best car to see what he can actually do.

So because Kimi won the title one year that means Massa is clearly much much suckier even though he beat Kimi the year after and also scored more points than him up to his accident last year. If Massa is as crap as you say then Kimi should have wiped the floor with him all three years.

And by your own reckoning that means Michael Schumacher who has 7 WDC is the THE best driver ever and everyone is totally sucky in comparison! :D

Is it possible that the car suits Alonso more than Massa? The way the shorter wheelbase suited Nicolette more than Schuey?

Whatever the reasons, hope Massa ups his game soon. He's traditionally done very well at Turkey. If he's sure that Ferrari don't want him, might as well go all hyper-aggressive on Alonso, go wheel to wheel & not yield even if it means taking out both of 'em. If he does that, Alonso is likely to yield as he's got everything to lose.

Both Alonso and Massa will be under loads of pressure and more. It'll be a nice race watching from that point of view.

A driver for Ferrari next year... Yes, I think it should be Kubica but if I were him I would like to know whether Michelin is back as tyre supplier for 2011 or not. I think I would stay at Renault one more year if Michelin is back.
