HandyNZL 1 Report post Posted September 17, 2010 ....for Webber for the title....and it brings great shame to my Kiwi roots to support an Ocker to win the WDC title. So, with but a handful of races to go, who are you rooting to take the title?
Pucky the Whale 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2010 Well, with 125 points up for grabs, the top 8 are all still eligible to win. Of them, I dislike Massa least. Then Button. Then a huge gap. Then Hamilton. Then the largest possible gap. Then Vettel. Then Kubica. Then Alonso. Then Rosberg. Then a sizable gap. Then Webber. But I imagine the top 8 will look like: 1. Lewis Hamilton 2. Mark Webber (not bad for an ungrateful piece of moaning crap) 3. Fernando Alonso 4. Jenson Button 5. Sebastian Vettel 6. Felipe Massa 7. Robert Kubica 8. Nico Rosberg

HandyNZL 1 Report post Posted September 18, 2010 Do I really have to answer??? Ok: Di Grassi. Now thats taking fan-boyism to new heights.....just because Lucas can drive faster than Hamilton on full fuel (and thats a fact) and by touching girlies with his hands he ends up with an imposition, doesn't mean he can win the WDC, especially after it can clearly be seen that the team is behind Glock, and no amount of Skype Bank money could ever change that, even if they threw in a years supply of nipple-growth-hormone pills. Pucky the Whale 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2010 Only if no one above eighth scores points are they eligible. Don't be sucked in by incorrect mathematical hypothesis, Eric. We expect better from you. Robert Kubica, has 108 points. Mark Webber has 187. That is a difference of 79. It is mathematically possible for Kubica to win the title, even with some of those ahead scoring points. Here's the scenario that would change the points most drastically among the top eight... 1. Kubica wins every race...233 points. 2. Rosberg P2 every race...202 points 3. Massa P3 every race...199 points. 4. Vettel P7 every race...193 points. 5. Webber retire every race...187 points. 6. Button P8 every race...185 points. 7. Hamilton retire every race...182 points. 8. Alonso P9 every race...176 points. So, while not likely, you are wrong and I am right. The points can shift quite radically among the top eight. Any of the eight can win, and the bottom four can be the top four (as seen above).

blackpebel 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2010 As button said some time ago, the one who holds his nerves the best would run away with the title. So although I think that Hamilton has a car this year that can win him the title, he may make a few more mistakes which will cost him. Mclaren factory has always been really fast at developing their car, and this year is no exception. He's got good skills as a driver, but thats on the aggressive end, his raw skills need some more polishing. Webber has a good car overall, the best should i say, but the start after the lights go of is not better then my grandpas....... well whatever my grandpa drove in good ol 70's. Plus in a race even with a superior car that he has, i don't really see him being able to overtake the likes of Alonso, Hamilton or Massa. Oh yes how can i forget, even if everything has to go right on a day, their is the Vettle threat lurking over him.. his own team mate might just run into him, just ... Button again has the Mclaren advantage, and i respect him for being a thinker, remember his first ever race win at hungary for honda?? it was a delight to see him win,... by my calculations, My god he really would have to do a lot of thinking to pull off the title without being in a car that is comparatively as good as Brawn was last year... And although he is against team orders (for crying out loud), Mclaren did ask him to 'Save-Fuel' in turkey, before he could run into Hamilton... but thats not team orders Right??? And then their is Alonso... The thing that i love the most about him is his controlled aggression Ferrari's don't have the best package this year, (Alonso has pulled out good results with it though).. they are not too good at developing the car (according to me), but if they do, they will run away with the title. Alonso has everything needed from here on to win the title.. An engine that can punch at start, Good pit crew, A team mate who wont mind helping, a reliable car, Aero package that saves tyres more then anyone else on the grid, Oh, and did i mention a team mate who wont mind helping My verdict... We all saw how Mclaren made it easy for Kimi to win the Title in 2007 by letting Alonso and Hamilton at each other even after having the best car on the grid. This year their are two team making the same mistake namely Mclaren and Redbull. Till these teams are able to figure out a solution, we would have reached the last race of the calender. I would pip Alonso for winning it... or Webber only because he has an amazing car with lots of potential...

If we are going to be pedantic, then all drivers have a chance to become WDCs as in F1 drivers can be stripped of their points. So here's my scenario: FIA finds out that it was not HRT which were going awfully slow. It was a case of every other team running on illegal cars so they are all disqualified and stripped of their poionts except for HRT while heading for the last race. None of both HRTs finish the race, though, and Flavio Briatore snatches the 2010 FIA Skype Banking System Penis Green Card Viagra Free Porn F1 Drivers Championship. I assign this scenario a 98,7% probability.
