Fun turn of events.

Using Webber as bait did the trick... we'll find out over the next few days if he was in on it or RBR used him up.

Congrats indeed.

Vettel drove a great race and a great season. He deserves the WDC as do Red Bull.

Pitty for Alonso - that early pitstop will come back to haunt the entire ferrari team.

Oh well - live and learn.

YEAH PETROV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(A way to hide my tears! :P)

Seriously, the WDC went for the guy who made the next-to-last mistake. And lost to the guy who made the last one...

A "deserved" championship if not for the best driver, for the best driver-car package indeed. A borefest of a race and a hell of a season. Gongrats you spoilt, insuferable, annoying kid! :D

COngrats to Vettel...Would rather see Webber on top, but hey, as long as Mclaren is out im happy :D....Ferrari and the strategy?? wtf??? my god, even I could think of a better strategy. They lost the title not because FA couldnt pass Petrov (congrats to Petrov btw), but because he pitted so early..stupid, stupid, stupid...

Commiserations Andres - sorry to see you boy loose it so needlessly.

Once the safety car was out of the way it should have been a cruise to the finish, but as soon as Ferrari pitted Alonso I knew they'd made a grave mistake - you can see my comment in the race thread.

How on Earth didn't they? And will they give me a job, cos they obviously need a strategist?

Congratulations indeed for Vettel!

For sure the championship is in in the hands of a proper champion.

There was no stopping him today and the truth is he had more than his fair share of bad luck this year.

He totally earned it!

He totally deserved to be champion and the same can be said for Fernando and Webber.

Bring on 2011!!!!!

Yes of course, Red Bull MADE Webber qualify 5th in a race he needed to win, it was all set up

Nah, I don't feel as gutted. I can find comfort in the fact that Ferrari did not win, after all!

Seriously, it was an unforgettable season, so it's hard to feel actually bad when, looking back, there were so many good moments. It would have been close to perfection if Alonso had won it (perfect if Kubica/Renault had) but in the end, surprisingly, I found myself feeling more disappointed if Webber had won it than with Vettel winning it. I don't know why as Webber is one of my favs and I can't stand Vettel, but it feels more befitting this way in a sense.

And yes, that was an awful strategic call, but Alonso is not a driver to blindingly follow any pitwall strategy. As i said in the other thread, he either accepted the lousy call or made it himself. A mistake in a critical moment. These are the most expensive ones and he paid this one dearly.

Indeed. RBR also telepathically destroyed both Alonsos and Webbers tyres as to create yet another advantage to Vettel. They even offered free cans of soda to Petrov and Kubica who were probably a bit parched after their good drives. I have by way of a reliable source, that a footlong sub was presented to Alguersari in an unmarked brown paper bag inside of a briefcase. But fearing he was being setup, he took off before anyone could explain it was edible.

Ah, when your not having a pop at JB, youre alright!

I gotta say thanks for your integrity. After reading the bull posted today this has reaffirmed my belief in humanity.

Yes! Very happy for him, disappointed for Alonso, but very very happy for Sebastian. Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke.

He's had crap luck in terms of reliability this year but has probably been the quickest driver out of all of them.

Great end to a truly wonderful season. I'll be eagerly counting down the days till the start of the new season now! 5 champions on the grid next year, brilliant!

Now, if you could just lose the pic.........

Bad call by Ferrari/Alonso, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. Still, they could see Webber choked behind traffic after his pit stop, so it didn't seem such a great call even at the time. Then again, you don't know how bad the tyres were, etc.

I too would have preferred Webber to win it, but he just didn't drive well enough and was not even chomping at Alonso's heels when he was being held up by Petrov. Strange race for him, for some reason. Vettel drove the best when it mattered and it worked for him. Well done to the lad.

 Not that much integrity! :P

And never forget the most famous quote from Quixote that was never actually written: "They are barking, Sancho. Means that we are moving forward" (or something like that...hard to translate properly)

So let them bark, see you and your boy in 2011...and may the best one win :P

They admitted they were so focused on Webber, they didn't even consider Petrov (and at that moment, who could have blamed then?). Fear to make mistakes is one of the worst sins. When it mattered, they lacked that little extra braveness and were way too conservative. Webber lost to his lack of experience at such high level of competition. He built a huge storm of pressure, and when it started downpouring back on him it was too much. Still, there was lots for him to be proud of. All of them have more than enough things to be proud of. And they get more than paid for that pride  Hey, come to think of it I did many things I am proud of (no, that doesn't include joining this forum! It was just a bogus link from a completely legitimate porn site that brought me here!) and yet I don't get paid as much.

Now I am depressed:(

It scary to think what Seb will or can achieve. I'm happy, for all the misforune at SKorea, the mechanical failures, the mistakes that made him stronger.... the best and fastest man won the title

Yes, they were focused on Webber, but even a blind man on a galloping horse could see that Webber coming out in 16th place and stuck behind whoever it was, was a not a good place to be

It's disgusting when they interrupt porn with links to informative and interesting sites, or indeed with links to this one :whistling:
