That was the 79th running of the greatest race in the world. Stunning finish. Despite Pagenaud initially closing in on Lotterer, he couldn't quite get there and the #2 Audi wins by 18 seconds after 24 hours!

What a race!

The word "classic" is thrown around too easily when it comes to races these days, but I think the 2011 24 hours of Le Mans more than deserves the title. The incidents, drama, pure emotion of the event, fantastic racing, controversy, and of course, the great stories.

Fassler/Lotterer/Treluyer's first Le Mans victory, Greaves Motorsports second in P2, Lucas Ordonez getting a podium on his first time visit to Le Mans, and of course, the Robertson team getting a podium on their wedding aniversary.

Tremendous.
