Insider 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2011 I am here most days, usually when I wake or go to bed. Could be at home or more likely, in a hotel. I'll have spent 150-odd days on the road with the various bands I play with by the year end, mostly in Sweden because that's were the work is. If I'm not on the road, then I'm in the recording studio over there or at home, if not toiling away on a new book. If I don't work at this pace than my wife and I can't survive financially in the UK. Anyways, I am lurking almost every day as usual, just not inspired enough to write something in these quiet days. I don't know if it is because of the extreme workload or what. But I pop in too and lift the occasional nightdress to see what is underneath.... Have enjoyed watching F1 this year (and this is something I would not have said last year) - think the rule changes have helped. Will try harder to post more.... I enjoy the racing but I don't feel the Championship, no competition. It might start battle for some race wins but the activity will not improve during the summer break I'm afraid. Maybe I'm the one that's changed." Clarity is a wonderful thing. And now I see, you're still the same bunch of old farts, Alonso is still 'The Antichrist' (although he's being rivalled by Fingerboystien Vettel), you have the same sense of humour and I, me, well... I've done a lot of growing up, I still have an awesome rack, dark brown eyes and an absolute peach of an arse. All of this without the Jack Daniels swiggin, toke smokin old self I've left behind. Eric 2 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2011 All is well here, having a hell of a summer, having a lot of fun with a great group of people. I have the time to post here but no reasons to. Problem with this forum isn't that people leave, it's that no one enters. Another contributing factor is that I just don't really watch auto racing of any kind, not just F1. Just can't get excited about any of it. Not sure I ever really liked the sport as much as I liked being a fan of drivers or the social aspect of it. The more I think about the sport itself, the less interested I am. Too much politics and for ****'s sake auto racing's really not a naturally exciting endeavor. Perhaps after every lap led the commentators should yell "HE SCOOOOOOOOOORES" to make it seem like it's important. I have to say it's way more fun to just watch the stick and ball sports where all you really pay attention to is your team and your guys and it's just good fun and even a blow-out seems more exciting because you see all the work and you see it in the score and for some reason, watching a lead increase from 1-0 to 2-0 to 3-0 is more exciting than watching a lead increase from 1 second to 2 seconds to 3 seconds, and I'm not sure why. I guess it's just less obvious how the lead is increasing and I'm too dumb to follow. But yes, I'm having a great time in the last few months and with so much coming up I really expect my TF1-ing days to be over.
