GeoffandSandy 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2001 F1B You've got to be joking or paying too much attention to Murray W. Nigel (dreary) Mansell Ralf, well maybe in the near future. Jenson who? Ditto JJ. Poor Johnny Herbert F1's unluckiest driver & a latter day Stirling Moss(but I like him) Try instead Nelson Piquet (full downforce cars) Jack Brabham (designed, built & won WDC in his own car) James Hunt (a colourful character not a driving robot) Alain Prost (the professor) Nicky Lauder (maybe the best of them all) There are a few others like Schumi, Berger & Rossberg who deserve a mention too. diver3784 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2001 Here are first of all some excuses for my next five picks: 1. I'm only 17 years old and because of that only a F1 racing fan since 1994 2. I'm German And now, ladies and gentlemen, here are my picks: 1. Michael Schumacher (he's definitely one of the greatest, but i wouldn't say THE greatest, i doubt there is) 2. Ayrton Senna (same as 1, i'm still sorry that he died the first race i watched!) 3. Juan Manuel Fangio (who else has 5 WDCs???) 4. Jean Alesi (he is racing since the beginning of F1 i believe and has won only one GP) 5. Graf Berge von Trips (the first German that was about to win the WDC and died shortly before he could do so, from the same town as MS!)
