Michael Schumacher and St George Illawarra Dragons

Recommended Posts

If you are a follower of Australian Rugby League [NRL] and Formula One, I hope you don't follow both the St George Illawarra Dragons and Michael Schumacher.

If you do, you will notice a disturbing pattern out there, worthy of the X-files. For the last 18 months or so, everytime Michael has won a race, the dragons have lost their game! No matter who they are playing, or where.

Maybe Michael is the secret weapon player for the Dragons and when he wins, he is too tired to prop up the football team?

Or maybe there is a conspiracy with the betting odds between the Dragons and Schumi?

Either way, the truth is out there somewhere....Mulder, Scully H E L P!!!!

Anyone else noticed rather strong statistics between two sports?

well just in case you thought i was nuts.....

melbourne - schuey won, st george lost.

malaysia - schuey won, st george lost

brazil - dc won, st george won.

interesting how the pattern is continuing. :)

let us know when the dragons play on a saturday and lose so we can put a tenner on schuey! ;)

It's all to do with colour.

Both St George & Ferrari are red & white.

So it depends on the colour scheme of the opposing team & the flag of the country where Schumi is racing

For those of you who wanted to know how the dragons went this week.........they lost.

This should indicate that schuey will win at imola, so those wanting to have a bet should get in while they can.

oh and they lost by heaps if thats of any help.

lets see if the run continues.

[of course now this stat is published it prolly won't work anymore lol]

Well of course, it DID have to turn into a demonstration model, didn't it?

Luckily I have covered myself by saying that this occurs most of the time. And as Schuey has a DNF, it isn't the same as a loss. Well okay, maybe i am grasping at straws here lol.

Ok, lets look at stats then...

During 1999 Schuey was out with a broken leg during the last part of the NRL draw.

Here are 2000 results..

Grand Prix              Schumacher        St George

Aussie                           1st                     Lost

Brazil                             1st                     Won  *

San Marino                    1st                      Won *

Britain                            3rd                     Won

Spanish                          5th                     Won

European                       1st                      Lost

Monaco                           Ret                     Won  +

Canadian                        1st                      Lost

French                             Ret                     Won  +

Austrian                          Ret                      Lost  *+

German                           Ret                      Lost  *+

BREAK FOR OLYMPICS

2001

Australia                          1st                       Lost

Malaysia                           1st                       Lost

Brazil                                2nd                      Won

Imola                                Ret                       Lost *+

* indicates an 'abnomaly' toward the expected results.

+ indicates that schuey retired so we won't know if he could have won or not coz he wasn't racing.

The stats aren't perfectly in favour of my theory but boy they are #### close! lol

See i told you it's all to do with colour.

Ferriari R/W lost to Williams Bl/W. Engine BMW Bl/W

San Marino flag Bl/W

StG R/W lost to Parramatta Bl/G (well it's almost Bl/W)

If the theory is correct them schumi to win when saints play bulldogs

You wuz right twelfth month, although with 90 seconds to go your bet looked a bit worried. Still, winners are grinners eh?

Of course my Bl/W theory still holds (Finnish flag etc).

By the way Benneton's run of outs seemed to start when they changed from that fantastic multi colour scheme to the daggy Bl/W they have now.

Coincidence maybe?

Nope, no coincidence........get rid of the funky colours and you lose your edge lol

and st george only just lost, so i guess it had to be a close race lol

To make it a really close coincidence they would have had to have lost by a field goal after the final whistle, but the basic premise holds true.

Now that there are no more rabbitohs---up the dragons.

And in last night's state of origin the BLUES were beaten by the REDS.

Does this change either of our theorys, because I seem to have lost the thread of where this topic was going. Please be kind to the feeble minded & advise.

Hey December, before the race I was going to ask how Saints draw would effect things but my answer came in the race results.

DC first, RB second until the last 20 meters then letting MS past on team orders. That's as close to a draw as you can get in F1.

You have converted me: I like your theory
