For the title of this thread I thought it would be for all teams unlike the other one that is only for the ugly duckling.

i hope at least one car will be pretty.i hope that Marussia and HRT have realised that although they can't be fast they can make semi-good looking car.i hope...

I don't think all cars will look like this one although I read somewhere that Ferrari's was just looking like this one, let's just hope for the best.

Well, Ferrari did once give us this:

A nose with a snow plow!!

(In fairness the car wasn't actually bad in terms of performance).

Just so we all know where we are coming from when we talk about this year's "hideous" car designs

That car had the air box to end all end boxes!!

How's this for a nose? The 1979 Ensign N179

Or the 71 March 711, complete with surfboard...

Here's a goody that I know a little ditty about...this is the 1978 Kauhsen F1 car, driven by Patrick Nieve:

Four years earlier, Patrick Nieve won the British Formula Ford Championship in this exact car...the Lola T340, chassis HU-01, currently driven by my mate Tony Cross, whom is currently leading our championship here in NZ :)

This thread needs a title change!

Keep the ugly ones coming in guys! Excellent stuff ! I hadn't even seen most of them before!

Such a topic definitely deserves it's own space!

Just make sure it doesn't go off topic again and we end up with a bunch of pictures of ugly exes!

Some of those ugly noses brought back memories!!

This Ferrari 312 T3 (1978) was a masterpice of a good looking car if you copare it with the 312 T4 (1979) one of the ugliest cars in racing history!

Oh,well...if we are going down this path then I think Sir Frank and his FW08 deserves to be mentioned as well for accomplishing the impossible: making the Tyrrell six-wheeler look good.

The car was banned before season start, probably just because of its looks.

Don´t forget the Arrows!!!

http://www.f1technic.../389/arrows-fa1

A car put together in 60-days....makes the podium inside ten races....take note Marussia/Virgin, Caterham/Lotus, HRT......lol

The nose of that car looks like it came off the front of a Van Diemen Formula Ford of the same year...the RF78

1.jpg

(Bit of an illegal rear aero device on that Formula Ford though...I think this car was raced against Swift DB1's in the '80's to have had that little tea tray stuck on the back)

I was merely pointing out the snow plow....the rest of the car is quite nice....but the wing is kind of like a wart or a mole on the end of someone's nose...

I guess McLaren focused on single-lap/qualifying pace. The game plan: win pole, hold Vettel and Red Bull up, ???, Alonso wins.
