BradSpeedMan 6 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 Cry babies Lotus have lodged an official protest against Mercedes's rear wing. Hope the wing is declared legit with finality. Have you considered who might have been the culprits with the FIA having to ban Lotus's ride height system earlier this year after getting approval a year before? Is it a coincidence that they protesting Mercs wings, or an vengeance agenda behind this protest?
Quiet One 15 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 Have you considered who might have been the culprits with the FIA having to ban Lotus's ride height system earlier this year after getting approval a year before? Is it a coincidence that they protesting Mercs wings, or an vengeance agenda behind this protest? My thoughts, exactly. Merc and Force India iirc were behind the Lotus ride height banning. The usual inter teams wars. They are as much part of F1 as drivers battles since its inception.
LabradoRacer 2 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 Phew, FIA has ruled Merc's wings to be legal & dismissed Lotus's protest. Now, for Mercedes/Schumi to qualify on pole & gather all of 2 points.

Quiet One 15 Report post Posted April 13, 2012 Anybody watching practise ? Wha the heck is on the rear of the McLaren ?? I am watching it. As exciting as watching the 12 hours' DVD special collection on "Charles Pic: a marvelous tale" As for the Macas. It is either some sort of very clever rear flow measuring device or a very useless plowing device.

The Shadow 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2012 Mclaren look reasonably good. Lotus may be in there. At least based on P2. With that huge lock up zone (the braking point on the back straight) plus DRS, the race could get interesting As for Felipe, oh dear...
