As I say that, Radio Le Mans reporting the #3 has improved to second on the grid, splitting the E-Trons.

Lotterer has improved his pole time already in the #1 to a 3:24.997. Meanwhile, the #7 Toyota breaks into the top three with a 3:26.505

#16 Pescarolo didn't take part in yesterday's session so unsurpisingly sets its best time to move up the grid with a 3:38.153

Sounds like rain is forecast for tonight. These might be the quickest times then...

As for the weekend - it keeps changing. Forecast is improving, but too unpredictable to draw definite conclusions yet.

The #12 Rebellion has improved on its time last night to a 3:38.119 but remains second fastest of the privateers behind the #21 on the grid.

An improvement by the #8 as well to go faster than one Audi at least. He moves up to fourth with a 3:26.151

Another improvement by the #21 to increasing its advantage in the unofficial privateers class on a 3:29.622

#59 Ferrari takes pole in GTE Pro as the #97 takes second, moving last night's pole sitting #74 Chevrolet down to third.

Heavy rain to the north of the circuit apparently. I say it again: these could be the fastest times we see.

#13 makes an improvement as well with a 3:31.866 to move to 8th overall to move the sister #12 car down to 9th.

#38 car hit the wall at the last corner - debris on track. Will probably prevent any more improvements in these last few moments of the second session.

Session finished. Interesting session with a lot of people finding pace compared to last night and a change at the very top with the #3 Ultra now on provisional pole.

An hour break now before action commences at 10pm French time. If it stays dry, there's still a lot to play for.
