brambilla 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2013 Now that Paddy Lowe will set up shop at Brackley \ Brixworth .... can someone @ Mercedes AMG F1 post a friggin Org. Chart ?! Seriously, how do these guys all fit together ? Bob Bell is the Tech. Dir. , but Lowe is Executive Director (Technical), so I guess Lowe is the ultimate tech boffin ? Then there's Brawn - who most news outlets say , is grooming Lowe for the Team Principal role - so, Team Principal >> Exec. Director ??

You just have to familiarize yourself with German organization. We have Brawn, which is the "Feldmarschalferschurekaput" Then, you have Bob Bell which is the "Vhyvekontractendisguyinzefirstplacefuhrer" Then you have Paddy as "Oberkommandant das krappywagen" Toto Wolff as "Die excusendeliverersprachen" And, finally, Lauda as "Oberpaiden Lumpschaften" See? That said, huge rumours about him leading a Williams-BMW tie up here in Monaco. He had dinner with Clare Williams last night who was also allegedly seen in deep conversation with Jens Marquardt, BMW Motorsport Director earlier in the day. You never know. Angellica 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2013 Mercedes have all these people who sound like an awesome line up and yet their car isn't winning races. Nico Rosberg won in China was it last year? Other than that they show a lot of promise but don't follow through on it sadly. Bernie might be talking up a BMW return but they're denying it according to autosport. Massa 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2013 Nice, Andrés. Classic and about right too. Way too many chiefs and Brawn must be rueing the day he sold his shares. That said, huge rumours about him leading a Williams-BMW tie up here in Monaco. He had dinner with Clare Williams last night who was also allegedly seen in deep conversation with Jens Marquardt, BMW Motorsport Director earlier in the day. You never know. This information is definitely appreciated, whether there's truth or not (with BMW denying it above). On paper, outside of BMW's words, you can see where BMW would at least consider it. Mercedes is here, and Infiniti has an expanding presence. Yeah, they're all together in DTM, but DTM is changing. Soon, Honda, Toyota, and Nissan will be there, and they're courting the U.S. manufacturers with a fishing expedition by way of a quasi-vaporware U.S. series. You then look at another big DTM rumor: turbocharged, 6-cylinder engines. Well, wait a minute...I can think of another series using those. So, entry might not consume as many resources, depending on how the DTM engines align with F1. Hey, DTM already has DRS and option tires, so BMW can't say they're fundamentally opposed to F1. I think it really comes down to one thing: do the new DTM regulations make DTM a more global series, one that gives them enough visibility to say, no, we don't need F1?
