Emmcee 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2014 Well what a shock that was, Massa on pole ahead of his teammate, and what a lap Felipe did to. Hamilton spins out and Vettel doesn't make the top ten. What a cracker of a race where about to see. Will the Williams have the pace to maintain ahead? Or will the fall back through the field. Will we see a collision at turn one or two? Can't wait for this race, whats your thoughts?
rodders47 2 Report post Posted June 22, 2014 Williams will not finish as they qualy mainly because, I think, they will use up their tyres too much. Ricci will finish 2nd IMHO
SwingOnTheSpiral 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2014 Kimi will win this race from his awesome grid slot.

Ikyrotz 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2014 Finally a race where Mercedes need to fight others, great to see Williams there! Hopefully they can stay up top for the rest of the season.
Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2014 It's about time Williams delivered on the potential this season! Hamilton messed it up for himself with those quali mistakes, it annoyed me to read a BBC Sport column this morning saying he has bad luck. No, he messed up and Rosberg didn't. Good drive from Magnussen. Kimi still doesnt appear to be improving at all
Emmcee 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2014 I can't say much ATM really, fell asleep before the race start and woke up seeing Rosberg on parc feme. So I saw the top three, gotta wait to tonight for the replay.

rodders47 2 Report post Posted June 23, 2014 what do you think of the ruling about running over the white line in turn 8 ?????? To me it's all B*&^$&^&^$^&%$#$$#@#%^t....... Instead of INVITING the drivers to run wide onto concrete or bitumen areas, why not just put a sand trap there ? SIMPLE and saves another stupid rule. Im not sure how "dont drive off the track" is a stupid rule. However a strip of grass or something there would not go amiss.

Punishing drivers for being on the limit, what has this sport turned into? Planed on dropping a practice session, standing restarts after safety car, the list goes on and on, turning this into a pedantic parade.
SwingOnTheSpiral 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2014 I think the fact that hardly anyone posts here about the last GP shows how interesting it was.
Emmcee 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2014 Exactly, like I said I fell asleep, can't remember the last time I've done that on a gp weekend, usually all excited

Emmcee 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2014 The old tracks that we miss clearly aren't always good for entertainment! I disagree to a point, we've had some crackers at Austria in the past, must of just been one of those races, get them from time to time.
Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2014 True, Bahrain used to always be dull then look at the 2014 race. The standout memories of Austria for me are JPM & Schumi going toe-to-toe (or rather JPM forcing them both off the track), DC's win in '01, DC nudging Mika into a spin, and Heidfeld having a massive side-on collision. Webric I'm sure with your knowledge you can tell me who that big crash was with?

Webric I'm sure with your knowledge you can tell me who that big crash was with? Man that's easy, it was Takuma sato in his yellow jordan. Takuma had no idea what happened, didn't heidfeld plow into sato's side with his rear end? Massive impact from what I can remember.
Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2014 Yep it was a biggy. And yes you are correct about the rear-end ploughing.
