Emmcee 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2014 I think the tide had already turned WebRic. Nico's been showing these past few races in fact he's no push over at all. I think Hamilton was quicker in a few races earlier in the year, but Nico's more than matched him, I think he's surpassed him in all facets. Most of all the mind and mental battle. Hamilton is utterly frazzled. Heck he's now stating he has no idea how to approach this next race. He doesn't just need his Dad back running his racing career, he needs a total reboot of it and a start over. He's lost, confused and so quick to blame everyone else. This is now Nicos to lose I think. Yeah agree, can't see Nico loosing it though, to stone cold, nothing seems to rattle him, now he is on a roll confidence sky high, lewis knows he is way more than just a teammate. If only Webber could have evolved like this against Vettel.
Smu3l3y 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2014 All you hamilton doubters will all be singing his praises 10 or 15 years from now when he's not racing and people once again reminisce how good f1 used to be back in the good old days.(lol do you remember the days of 1.6 turbos) Chances are it was probably the same for senna and schumacher . Probably everyone hated them when they were around because no one likes being beaten but they were loved once they were not around anymore. And seemingly from what I gather on this forum not many people like balsy fearless racing drivers who take risks. ( I will stroke your ego in one sense though and only because I believe it is true unlike most things I read on hear ) daniel riciardo is a truly fantastic racing driver and I think he is at least as good as lewis
Emmcee 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2014 Yeah ok,your me and know what iam thinking and what my opinions are and what I see. Ohh and as a matter of fact Senna was favourite, don't know if he is ballsy though? As for dan, I think he is better than lewis. There I said it, on scale, with the car he has in comparison to Lewis's and the wins and podiums he has achieved, he is doing better at the current time. Just an opinion, my opinion. Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2014 If only Webber could have evolved like this against Vettel. After that immensely stupid move at Spa I don't think we should be singing Rosberg's praises, quite the opposite. He didnt deliberately crash into him but he's got more than enough experience to know not to hold his line when the line is not in any way his to hold, he should've known right then that there'd be contact. He was extremely lucky that his own car wasn't more damaged. It's a shame Lewis's race was ruined due entirely to the fault of his team-mate rather than his own. As fans we all lost out on a potentially great duel due purely to Nico's amateurish driving. I know they all can make mistakes, even the best ones do, but that particular one is wholly unjustifiable IMO.
Emmcee 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2014 This is the funny part. Yeah Nico made a mistake and shouldve backed out, but then he said in the meeting with merc that he was trying to proove a point and wasn't going to move. So was it a mistake or standing ground? Hard one. But lewis them goes out and tells the media that Nico hit him on purpose, which was not the case.

Indeed we all know to take Lewis's comments with a pinch of salt - I think Nico admitted that to prove a point he held his line, which Lewis interpreted as meaning he did it on purpose. I don't think it's standing your ground when if you take that position you're 99.9% likely to cause a crash. I think he was expecting Lewis to move aside, and if he did think that, he's an idiot! In an F1 race, if you deliberately put your car in an area which is going to cause a crash, especially when you are coming from behind and have no space to do so, then say you are not going to move, even though you know you have got it wrong, isn't that the same thing as hitting somebody on purpose? Emmcee 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2014 I agree with Jem, I think he expected lewis to move, especially knowing he's desperate to finish.
