BrisbaneAndy 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2014 The Ronster did not look at all happy! Irrespective of the reasons, he needs two cars in Q3 for reasons of Honda and future sponsors.
Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2014 He's a ruthless bugger and I dont think he'll care that JB made a mistake at the hairpin, he'll just be thinking this isnt good enough, I demand results
BrisbaneAndy 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2014 I agree, reasons are irrelevant, give me results. He is hard nosed and it is hard to complain about that, because McLaren success depends on it. Unfortunately, Button will ultimately lose his seat as result, but not in 2015.
Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2014 Indeed. Mclaren's response to a bad season has historically been to sack a driver, but there are simply no available replacements. JB himself doesn't seem too concerned: "I'm not worried in any way about that," Button is quoted as saying by the Press Association. "I'm pretty happy I'll be here next year, and I feel I'm doing a good job right now. I just have to sort Saturdays out a bit more. I've been a bit unlucky and not got the best out of it every weekend, which annoys me more than anything else, but I'll get there."
KoolMonkey 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2014 The people who accuse him of being constantly sulky and damaging the Merc brand are always silent when he's showing his positive side! Incidentally here's his latest column, in which he touches on being able to express himself, something which some people seem to miscontrue as him not being focused on his job - http://www.bbc.co.uk...rmula1/29261692 How so, I myself have praised Lewis in the past, just not recently. People remember the bad actions far longer than the great ones. I won't ever forget seeing his grumpy, disrespectful a## on the Monaco podium. It was incredibly disrespectful. Or his comments about saying Nico did it on purpose at Spa, only to have his own team principal state that wasn't the case. At least guys like Perez and Maldonado don't change their tune. It's not helping their careers or making them into likeable characters, but they don't flip flop around, and just like Massa are quick to blame everyone else other than themselves. They never take responsibility for their actions. So in that sense they are consistent even if it's a poor choice on their part. Lewis is seriously all over the place, and that's the biggest criticism I have seen directed towards him. It doesn't matter if he's all sweet and buddy buddy in private or off the track, when he's been representing teams, you have a whole highlight reel of his foot in mouth comments, his sulky behaviour, his lying to the stewards and all his other distasteful behaviour. Normally it's the other way around, in that people who might be difficult or demanding, or just plain jerks, that in public, or whilst they are on the clock so to speak, they can keep it together.
