Where Will Ricciardo Be In 2016?

Recommended Posts

Lol she looks like she just got out of an opium den lol.

Anyway, whats all this fuss with Redbull trying to drag Audi in? Why not bloody nissan? They advertise there cars all over there cars btw for those who didnt know infinti is nissan and Nissan have made some of the best 6 cylinder turbo engines ever and what ever those power plants get dumped into turn into supercars. Just blows my mind that the most obvious candidate doesn't even get a look in. It's like Ferrari running ford engines, just doesn't make sense. IMO I would be trying that, they couldn't do any worse than Honda so far could they? Just looks rediculous plastering nissan all over your car yet using Renault engines, you need a microscope to see any Renault stickers on the car.

Yes Dan had a great 2014 but I don't think he's going to have many options for 2016 unless Ferrari take Bottas, which will free up a Williams seat. I can't see him signing for Ferrari. The team & drivers keep talking about the harmony & great atmosphere & I can't imagine Seb being happy at all at such an idea.

Kvyat was always over-rated.

Fair call fair call. I'd rather Audi tho, easier to deal with European than Asian companies. Different culture, hard to work with.

If Redbull get Audi, maybe they can put Porsche stickers all over there car then.

I say Ricci will be with Red Bull for some time, after all it was RB that gave him the break and hell they will overcome this engine problem. also wonder if part of Red Bull's problem is because their Chief Aero guy went to McLaren ???. Maybe Adrian Newey was/is not the total GURU ??

As for RB leaving F1, don't reckon so even though they seem to have heaps of money it would cost them heaps to get out of the F1 contract

Newey has hardly anything to do with the development like he used to, he's to busy sailing. As for Redbull leaving, if they can find a team to replace them, they can theoretically leave and keep any prize money won as the slot has been filled. I read this somewhere not to long ago, the only way they could get caught up is if they left and no one replaced them, then there in breach on a contract but if someone buys them out, theoretically the team is still there just under another name/manufacturer. That's why Mark Webber went there after his stint at Williams because there basically the same crew he worked with at jaguar before Redbull brought them out.

Interesting point, I wonder how many staff in RBR have been there since the Stewart Grand Prix days

Well, yeah, you got me wondering to now Jem. Crazy to think the Stewart team that struggled in 97 and especially 98 went on to win four titles on the trot.

Do you think they still use the same factory, HQ etc?

Idk, good question.

Edit: just looked on wiki and it said Stewart were based at Milton Keynes, weather it's the same factory as now I couldn't tell you but you would think so.

Yea must be, but upgraded a fair bit no doubt. I remember when Ford bought the team and rebranded it Jaguar, there was all this media hype about Jaguar being in F1, 'the big cat is back' etc, when all it was was the exact same team but with a different paint job and badge, there was nothing Jaguar about it other than the cat on the side of the car!

It must be a trend, there's nothing about Infiniti/nissan at all to do with Redbull other than the sticker also. I sat in mark webbers jaguar, they brought his actual car to a jaguar dealership near where I lived and I got the chance to sit in it. Only thing missing was the steering wheel, they just had some poxy one in to replace the real thing. I would to concidering how much they are. You can't see much at all out of them and iam the exact same height as mark and once you put your helmet on, it would restrict your twenty twenty vision. Can't imagine what it would be like, but you would get used to it, just like you get used to any car you drive for a while.

Whats everyone's issue with Maure anyway?

If you think the haters are a pain now, imagine what this place was like in 07 and years after. They ruled violently and I laughed at them. Thus...
