About bl00dy time Another change for 2016 is the proposal to allow teams to choose their own tyre compounds for each race. It's an idea Pirelli warned against, but one the tyre supplier is willing to abide by if it is forced to, which is now the case.

Not a fan of fake exhaust sounds tho. Shorten the whole system, not just part of tit to make it sound good. So Lame.

Cool I look forward to hearing it. How they didn't realise the quiet engines would cause outrage in the first place is beyond me.

Re the tyres, I'm confused. I thought teams could already choose their compound, as long as they use both option & prime in the race

No, Pirelli chooses them a couple of races in advance. I think the should be able to do what motogp does and run different compounds on front and rear if they like.

Pirelli nominate 2 of the 4. My understanding is they can now pick any two of the four themselves.
