2016 Russia - Race No. 4

Was he on his phone when they were talking to the other drivers? He looks like an idiot with all the kit on during a press conference, the big diamond ear rings, the big gold chain and I beleive he has a chunky gold bracelet now aswell, my mate saw a photo of him in the local paper a few weeks ago when the race was on in Melbourne and it had a photo of the other drivers in "normal" apparel and Lewis in his "unique" fashion and my mate who doesn't know anything about f1 as he isn't a fan and never watches it, imediatly said and I quote "look at this [email protected]" now if an outsider totally unaware of what's going on in the sport has that opinion, then he is creating his own style alright and we know what that is.

That's was just stupid on kvyat's behalf but it looks to me that the right front pinched way early and contributed to the incident, maybe running to much front bias in the brakes. But still to even attempt is abit shocking, maybe he did it when the wheel pinched as he felt he might haved rammed into the back of Hamilton. Ask the kimi fans, last year that was ok apparently lol.

Absolutely nothing wrong, that's why he didnt get a penalty. Please dont try to incite Kimi fans Webric, the incidents are once again miles apart. If anything, it proves what Ive been saying. Kvyat messed up and lost control due to his excessive braking, Hamilton had great awareness not to turn in. In the race last year Bottas did, which proves what Ive been saying, that guy suffers from bad spatial awareness, or maybe he just did it to spite Kimi.

I won't go there bro because it's banging my head against a wall. But I will bring up every other time a penalty isn't stated but you don't have the same thought process, I know kvyat made a mistake, I was just baiting you bro and you fell right in it, because kimi wasn't around it was ok hey? Man your like a chameleon, change all the time, this is that inconsistancy Iam talking about, imagine if it was kimi instead of Lewis "bloody kvyat pushing kimi of the track" and ra ra ra, that's exactly how you would be mate. Hamilton had great awareness, give me break, my gran would to at that speed, kimi should've had this great awareness in China to then hey? Give me a bloody break, sorry to bring it up again but you need to be aware of this bro and it's the root to most arguments but anyway, it won't change.

How can I be like "a chameleon" if my points are consistently the same

See your missing the point mate, two incidents will happen and there virtually the same and you'll give two different opinions, which is fine but when there so far fetched its rediculous, "spacial awareness" but kimi doesn't need it. Drivers should get penalised for dive bombing or pulling of great moves without contact but when kimi does it and actually takes someone out, "nah that's fine, it's bottas's fault" like wtf dude? What are you smoking? Your biased attitude towards kimi is so bloody obvious and that's all the issue I ever have had mate, is the flip flopping from common sense to just stupidity. Sorry for being harsh man but it insults your intelligence and knowledge as a fan and rubs me the wrong way as Iam reticuled for the first thing I muck up on.

As far as I'm aware, this is the first F1 race to be run on 1st May since that awful Imola weekend in 1994 when Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna died. Let's hope all the drivers make it home safely today.

Kvyat divebombed Hamilton in that incident?

Not really, IMO no different to China but because raikkonen was there in China, well that changes everything doesn't it?

Kvyat received a lot of praise, applause and encouragement for his dive in last race. I thought it was an idiotic move because of not what actually happened, but very well could happen, had they carried on, but, whatever. Yesterday he tried again the same nonsense on Hamilton, and now he thinks he can drive like that all the time, and basically probably destroyed here and now Vettel's any trophy chances for this year. He should receive a ban for a couple of races to ensure, that he will remember this day for rest of his life.

I've lost interest on the first lap, stupid guy.

RB seems off the chart, and it is Sainz from all people who is still holding a flag. Where is that promised fight we had with Williams?

Ferrari was still 0.6 sec/lap slower than leading car. So, where are those improvements we all were expecting..?

Let's be realistic here sakae, yeah what kvyat did today was stupid, at his home race and trying to move up the order to quick, unlike in China, he had no where to go this time and plenty of time to stop the car. That today was a brain fart, but hitting Vettel the second time was unavoidable a ban is just a stupid call also, I've seen much worse over the past 24 months that went in punished let alone accepted on here.

But I see it as nerves and trying to put on a show for the home fans, got carried away to easy. Iam dirty over Lewis, such a pr1ck when he doesn't win, his whole attitude of "woah is me" is coming back, didn't even shake nico's hand or nothing, fvck I want to punch that arrogant bloke in the head. Needs a good knockabout. With Ferrari did they actually get any clear running though? Seemed kimi was always in the dirty air and never really had a clear run, when he did, fastest lap at that point lol and I beleive this is the first pole, fastest lap and win for rosberg to, he has never done the hat trick until today.

As Sebastian noted, that race was supposed to last 53 laps, and not two corners on the first lap. Maybe Kvyat didn't get a memo about it, who knows.

Yeah but I also feel Seb needs to start toning it down abit, the way he flies off, has he forgotten he made some pretty stupid mistakes in his early days aswell, Fuji 2007,spa with jenson just to name a couple, I know he would be frustrated now with the results of late but he is a 4x champ now and has achieved a lot more than most have,if he can take that with open arms, then he has to take a loss with open arms to, not take your bat and ball and go home. I agree that kvyat made an honest mistake today but to compare it to a move he pulled of last race without any contact isn't fair as he made the move, today he simply made a mistake. If people can't see that then I might aswell join in, it was seb's fault he got hit, he should've had the "spacial awareness" that everyone has been talking about and swerve out of kvyat's way as its his home race, like Bottas should've swerved away last year. Give me a break lol.

Whatever, but I am noting that Kvyat has problems with anticipation what racing drivers will do on the first lap, when they are together, and they all heading for the turn apex. Kvyat is again off-track and caught in excessive speed. Hard to say whether he was expecting to overtake Vettel right there, but his sixth sense (if he has one) failed him miserably.

You are now getting to the point of reasoning like a child. Seriously

No this time it was stupid as he had no where to go but China, that was fine. He may very well have a "trigger happy" if you will first lap mentality but the vibe I get is people trying to place him in a Maldonado type situation, I may be wrong but if Iam right, I think it's unfair, I also think he may be under slight pressure behind the scenes to perform and that's getting to him, people also have to realise we're still trying to figure him out as a race driver as he is still quite fresh. Maybe he has an issue dealing with pressure, like webber did, just assumptions but I feel certain things that he has done has raised some eyebrows but similar issues with other drivers don't, that's the problem I have with it all, regardless who the driver is.

...are we now blaming a victim? What internal pressure has to do with a season Seb had until now? Kvyat hit Vettel, not the other way round. Add Kvyat's role in the last race, and I am not surprised that Seb had enough of him for a while.

Iam not talking about Seb I was saying kvyat might be feeling the pressure, he has apologised and admitted the first two corners were his fault and hopes to learn from it and never do it again. See IMO Seb blamed him in China to ease the pressure of himself and not have to admit he may have made a mistake, now he has to roll with it. But aside from that he accepted he made a mistake and I hope some drivers take note of that and use it themselves. he made a mistake today that ruined his race, his teammates and of course vettel's. I can't understand how Sainz got a penalty though, that was a stupid call.

Now Autosport is reporting something else...so was there or wasn't there a hit in the Chinese race?

That outfit was always odd on facts when they are referring to German-born drivers. Specialists of casting bad light in their tone, choice of words, etc., but now some facts of this case might be reported in error, at least I think so.
