Emmcee 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2016 Found this story where Lewis calls nico a gentleman for letting him by, but this article stipulates Mercedes drivers have a clause in the contract stating if one is slower than the other and is holding up a chance of a win, he must let him past. Didn't know that, didn't work in the past like that did it? Here's the article anyway. http://www.gptoday.com/full_story/view/567345/Hamilton_thanks_gentleman_Rosberg/
KoolMonkey 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2016 I will admit that is nice of Hamilton to address Nico in a good manner. However I'd like to know what happened to Nico's pace. Brakes apparently?
Emmcee 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2016 Could've been as when it's wet you run a lot closer and have no time to cool them plus the chance to cause brake fade because it's wet. That will affect your entire race, even once it dries up, in those conditions, a lot of factors come into play like tyres and setup to cope in changing conditions and also the brake distribution is crucial. This IMO is another area that schumi was fantastic at but never gets any attention and that's his braking. He could brake on the limit and would consistently adjust the distribution to suit each corner giving him maximum traction every corner. You can watch a lot of schumis onboard and see him consistently reaching and adjusting the bias, incredible to master that alongside his speed in other areas.
