Insider 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2016 I thought Jenson's announcement while believable may be a smokescreen. Obviously, 2017 is an important year for McHonda and to go into it without Button's esteemed powers of analysis would be foolish plus to lose Vandoorne would be equally silly. I get that but with Honda building an additional facility and Williams struggling they may be something more behind JB's 'sabbatical' year. If the car works, Alonso will stay - if it doesn't Button won't want to drive it either. However, if Honda supply ex-longtime former partner Williams in 2018 and Jenson were free........ fill in the dots.
