LAST team/PU (Mclaren Honda) Vs Second-to-LAST team/PU  (TR, Renault)

I DID some up with that.
Though it is NOT really, the pinnacle of motorsport.
The BOTTOM two teams FIGHTING  it out

We have Mercedes & Ferrari FIGHTING at the FRONT.
Renault & Honda FIGHTING at the BACK

Realistically a grid of FOUR/EIGHT, the works teams (2 teams x 2 cars)
With the rest of the field, populated by CUSTOMER teams

Who WILL succeed, Works OR Customer???

It WOULD B really exciting to watch if,  there WERE a challenge from the customer teams.
BEFORE the FIRST pre-season testing HAS even taken place;
Mclaren powered by Renault / Alonso, expectations are HIGH.

18 February 2018, 12:15  My increasingly unreliable memory is telling me, that in your summation perhaps RBR could be included as well.

My appraisal of a crystal ball - 8 cars with a chance to win a race here and there, 3 maybe 4 drivers with a chance to win the championship. As a disclaimer I am ignoring unpredictable reliability related fallouts.

The papaya and blue livery looks so meh <_<and dull:blush:. No lines or any accent.

It's like they painted a car and stuck sponsor stickers on it. Lazy design . There are lots of Formula 3 that looks 10 times better

Is that what's gonna challenge for podium ? :lol:

Looks like they lost their mojo already even before the start of the season :whiteflag:

...yet someone on this forum named Renault - the most beautiful looking car from them all, altho I am not sure if it was meant regarding color, body shape, or both. Differences in taste are very transparent, but that should not draw wedge between racing fans.

Regarding McLaren - I am reading - some sideline experts declared, salivating over potential superiority, this car looking fast (and therefore must be fast).

It does looks fast in terms of stepping on a papaya peel, you will fall fast :loljump:

Beautiful start; must be Honda's fault.

Well with that liars they couldn't make six laps in whole test.

Or complete race distance untill two years later.

Honda: " we will compete for victories from the start of the season "

Renault team finished full race distance, McLaren w Renault PU covered less than 2/3 of the race distance. (106% v. 60%).

Honda wasn't involved this time around.

McLaren Renault - TOPS timing sheet

f1Timing.jpg

With the only timed lap on record, this driver is in the news how good he feels to be at the top. No, this is not a joke. It sounds like he means it.  Here you go, how low man's desperate soul hungry for a cheap headline can descent?
