What would you say is the image of McLaren Renault that they are looking to create?.

Under Ron, and the Mercedes Works, Mclaren were sophisticated business like.
Reflected in the West sponsorship, silver branding - overalls ...

The Mclaren Honda deal should,  have been sponsored by;
The AA, RAC ...

The Mclaren Renault,  IS something new.  Never in their history have they collaborated.

Should Mclaren Renault,  go the fizzy drink way - Mountain Dew.
Sending a message to Red Bull Renault/Tag Heur

If everybody is going right - go left

Potential badging one of PU as Nissan, in Alfa Romeo style, could potentially produce very unique, and desirable rivalry between two iconic Japanese brands (in promotional field, of course).

Badging the PU as Nissan WOULD B dangerous
It WOULD really put Honda out !!!
DON`T want to burn ANY bridges there.
Honda WILL probably come good - EVENTUALLY
Likely NEXT reg changes, 2 LONG for Mclaren to wait until THEN
Need race wins (front end) NOW

Quote

“Fernando always did everything his way, and when he was wrong, others were always to blame rather than finding the reasons for the mistake within himself,” Alguersuari, the former promoter of the Renault World Series, added.

So noted long time ago, but unfortunately sizable cluster of deluded souls do like to live in perpetual denial, and you aren't going to convince them otherwise.

summed up as succinctly as possible. I would add the ripple effect is that it affects the other side of the garage

EVERYBODY expecting/anticipating Honda to blow the field away with TR/Red Bull
BUT Mercedes currently HAVE the power.  It IS theirs to LOSE

Remember WHEN, Williams-Renault, Red Bull Renault WERE blowing the field away.
Yes Williams - remember them, DOMINATED. Designed by Newey
Then another Newey Renault dominated, Red Bull and finger boy`s WDC`s

McLaren NOW will have a satisfactory PU
If the guys in Woking scratch their head, they CAN come up with a third pedal.

I was reading Jenson Button's post retirement piece in Motorsport. He wasted three years when he was at his peak with the Honda experiment. He matched Alonso lap for lap when the cars worked which was rare. He quit because he was bored out of his mind and Williams couldn't afford him. He would certainly give Nando a headache in a competitive car but he has decided to have his fun elsewhere. Honda only understood the Marchionne model of F1. Universal tyres, engine size and safety features. The rest was up to the engineers. Honda would do better for sure within those parameters. The sport would fare better too. Mercedes are heading towards driverless cars as a manufacturer and F1 is a test bed of sorts. They won't be happy. So what? No Ferrari, no F1. No one will come. Whether Mercedes are there or not is probably not important.

The speculation is PAPAYA, if Zak Brown HAD delivered a title sponsor it would be easier.
With Honda GONE now Renault. The AA is NOT a contender.  The Yellow/Orange colours WOULD have been appropriate.
Maybe the Orange mobile telecoms network

Come on Zak Brown marketing GURU
Renault HAVE announced NOT a title-sponsor.
Like with Red-Bull Tag-Heur NOT a title-sponsor
What can Zak Brown deliver?
The OBVIOUS branding IS Mclaren roadcar division.
Though Mclaren do NOT power their own roadcar - Mclaren DON`T build engines
