radical-one 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2018 I am convinced that the last 3 years with McLaren wasn't all Honda's fault. McLaren made it difficult for Honda to deliver a good PU due to Mclaren's unworkable ethics. Vindication coming soon !

McLaren made it difficult for Honda to deliver a good PU due to Mclaren's unworkable ethics. Vindication coming soon ! I do not wish to sound as a "troll" or McLaren hater, but I've read and heard this sentiment before from several credible sources, that McLaren has excessively high opinion about themselves, the entity is heavy in the front office, inflexible, and very difficult to work with when introducing something new. I do not want to say I told you so, but during last and previous years I touched on the integration challenges, but I was immediately shouted down in here - IT'S ALL HONDA, which of course is an emotional outburst of dubious value, and now we have it for all to see. Sakae 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2018 Unless there is some hidden fundamental flaw in McLaren vehicle design which effectively push them to launch 2019 development early, they still might have time to fix it. Hard to tell from outside. Back to TR - they seems happy, and RBR is already salivating to grab Honda for themselves. Typical Mr. Horner and Co.

Sakae 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2018 Quote Former McLaren-Honda driver Gerhard Berger told Austrian Servus TV: "I had to smile when I saw my old engineer, who worked on my car for three years, as the new Honda technical director.""He is really good, so I can imagine that with Toro Rosso, Franz Tost and the power of Red Bull behind them, they will do well. lipstick79 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2018 Re:...that McLaren has excessively high opinion about themselves, ... >Apples & Oranges That statement may be true, for the mp4 era, under Ron Denis who, Incidentally reunited McLaren with Honda. The Mclaren formula 1 team is, COMPLETLY different now to how it WERE. The ONLY thing the same IS, the Mclaren NAME

lipstick79 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2018 Indeed, kind of logical really, NO prizes for that announcement. Ron & Mclaren brought he MIGHTY Honda BACK into F1 Mclaren can`t wait until 2020 for Honda to come good. They NEEDED to keep Alonso, so powered by Renault - a race winning PU That is if things remain consistent. And NO Newey-esque developments, like the double diffuser or the Mclaren 3rd pedal
