radical-one 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2018 But with the very recent announcement/claim by Renault that their engine can surpass the Ferrari and Mercs, I would stay in Renault Works if I was Nico Hulk. Renault Engine Upgrades Will Give them More Pace than Top Teams...
Robert Rick 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2018 They usually promise more before the upgrade than actual added performance on track, don't they? It would be very exiting if true and would probably send Red Bull up front without much true competition, but I doubt these kind of press releases sooooo much
radical-one 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2018 They are probably promoting this to keep RB as customer and Dan as driver. We will see.
Robert Rick 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2018 Renault certainly look strong. They do good at every type of track, don't they?. Force India's podium was quite lucky. Interesting to see if they can stay among the faster cars in midfield. Haas seem to fumble every chance away. They look very clumsy by now. Alonso certainly get's alot out of the low quality McLaren. lipstick79 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2018 Re:...Alonso certainly get's alot out of the low quality McLaren >It WERE a double points finish from, the low quality McLaren Y R U singling out Alonso ??? Team Mclaren had a GOOD race. Another double points finish, finishing BETTER than; Torro Rosso Honda , which HAS to B the FIRST objective. Showing that it were, NOT a mistake dumping Honda for the race winning Renault

Well, he is leading in the points in the best of the rest (or tier 2) category....and I don't think anyone believes the McLaren is the 4th best car on the grid. The guy is performing. I would rather suggest perhaps Sauber and TR are on the bottom of the mid-field, whereas Williams might be off the chart. They all IMO are simply Tier 2 racing group. Tier 1 is constituted only by three teams at the moment, the others are just road blocks good for blue flags. Mind you, Ocon and Perez aren't too far from T1.
