Who is left among the classic drivers of the 1950s/1960s?

Recommended Posts

With the passing of Stirling Moss at the age of 90, I believe almost all of the great drivers of the 1950s and 1960s have sadly left us. A number fairly recently:

Ascari (1955), Collins (1958), Hawthorn (1959), Behra (1959), von Trips (1961), Farina (1966), Clark (1968), McLaren (1970), Rindt (1970), P. Rodriguez (1971), Siffert (1971), Revson (1974), G. Hill (1975), Peterson (1978), Chiron (1979), Hulme (1992), Hunt (1993), Fangio (1995), Villoresi (1997), Trintignant (2005), Regazzoni (2006), P. Hill (2008), Gonzalez (2013), Surtees (2017), Gurney (2018), Lauda (2019), Moss (2020)

Tony Brooks at age 88 is still alive. He is the last surviving Grand Prix winner from the 1950s. Jackie Stewart (age 80) is still active as is Emerson Fittipaldi (age 73) and Jacki Ickx (age 75). From the 1970s are Mario Andretti (age 80), Jody Scheckter (age 70), Alan Jones (age 73), Carlos Reutemann (age 77), John Watson (page 73), Riccardo Patrese (age 65) and Jacques Laffite (age 76).

Am I forgetting anyone?
