chennaiguy 0 Report post Posted March 13, 2005 seems michelins have advantage under hot conditions ********************* Michelin to keep advantage Michelin is confident of keeping its advantage over rivals Bridgestone in dry conditions the tyre manufacturer's motorsport director Pierre Dupasquier has revealed. "We envisaged all kinds of situations for Australia because of the new regulations but everything ran smoothely," Dupasquier was quoted as saying by the BBC. "We won't rest on our laurels because we know there's plenty of work to do," he added. "We had no tyre-wear problems at all in Australia. Giancarlo Fisichella's win vindicates all the hard work we've done during the winter and gives us an excellent platform to build on for the rest of the season." http://www.totalf1.com/news_article.php?newsid=95429 ************************
Senna 0 Report post Posted March 13, 2005 As I have maintained since before winter testing, Michelin should be able to adapt to the new tyre ruling better than Bridgestone, and should be able to develop its tyres better throughout the season due to the sheer numbers advantage Michelin has over its Japanese rival. Michelin are traditionally strongest on hot conditions or on a slightly damp track. This trend would be expected to be continued throughout 2005 but Michelin should perhaps be wary of Bridgestone
