I think it is too early to be able to make any guesses - another few weeks and I think we will know a lot more.

Williams itself has said that "The time with Honda or Renault was more succesful than with BMW", so I think that the relationship with BMW is bad...No more BMW engines next season.

I go for "A customer supply from either Honda,Renault or Mercedes"

...But this was not down to BMW who produced excellent engines.

Could be...

But Williams said the truth...

It was down to Williams bad cars and the terrible mistakes of Sir Frank's drivers.

His beloved guy Juan Pablo Montoya auto destroyed his chances of becoming World Champion in 2003 (which were not slim, and certainly better than those of Schumacher or Raikkonen),by being beaten at Monza and with a terrible race at Indianapolis. It was probably the worst race ever by a world championship candidate

i cant see why honda renault or merc will supply a rival team with a good history and a strong team that is capable of beating them!

It has happened some many times in the History of F1, the "rival" team becomes an ally, and if the Engine win, the BRAND too, and thats the bottom of everything, sell more cars.

Mercedes and Renault will never supply Williams mate I agree...but Honda might either decide to buy BAR and turn it into Honda F1 or have two winning teams on board like they did many times in the past (Lotus and Williams,Lotus and McLaren,Bar and Jordan). Also Lexus is a strong chance...Toyota is the wealthiest carmaker in the world and won't find difficult having two teams on the same level I suppose...

Yes I agree it would be quite like suicide for them...but knowing the japanese bosses....I don't rule out a kamikaze decision from Tokyo...

However I do think the best choice would be convincing a new carmaker to take on the development of the superlative Cosworth engine like Mercedes did with Ilmor...Maybe an american carmaker like Chevrolet, which, despite some economical troubles,is strongly expanding into european market...Williams-Chevrolet would be lovely to see

na, i like the sound of williams-audi lol!

VW seems to me in a better shape to enter in F.1 than GM at the moment so it might be the case.....But Peter Sauber has already tried for years to convince Audi buy Cosworth and enter F.1 but they refused every time..

I would love to se eaudi in f1, if they could do in f1 what they do in le mans then they would be very good and i would like audi to be in f1 as they could be very competative in it!

I think they would be at a very high level too...however Peugeot did dominate Le Mans and Rallies and then did nothing into F.1......But I think Audi approach might be a lot less conservative..Peugeot never seemed fully convinced by F.1..like Ford in the post 1994 years

yeah, peugeot had the wrong attitude. i think its best to go into f1 all guns blazing and make a big impression!

it's een notoriously difficut for manfacturers to enter f1 successfully. i doubt audi would be any different. as toyota and ford have shown, you need the right people, not just the right financial resources. it would take a lot of poaching for a team to come in and be successful.

who put: Cosworth rebranded by a new carmaker (Chevy or Audi) ? can't imagine that happening.

i believe that gm is the largest by market capitalisation, but toyota is the most profitable, if not also by market cap as well now.

Why not..CFord just rebranded with their name Cosworth engines and Mercedes just rebranded with their name Ilmor engines until 2004....
