GeoffandSandy 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2001 Rotaryboy, you may be right about Schumi. I saw a studio interview with him recently & the lines on his face were much deeper than six months ago. Maybe the strain is getting to him, after all, by F1 standards he is middle-aged.
TotalF1 Jens 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2001 I was in a car crash today! My god my brother should have his license taken away, the US is crazy to let 16 year olds drive anyways. We just came on the highway, the exit was right after getting on, and he missed it but turned in anyway, too tight too fast and too late. The car started to swerve and my brother did the exact opposite of what youre supposed to, touch the brakes. Oversteer came into play and we ran into a #### lamp post (one of those real tall ones) and the post fell down and we went off into the sand. We were lucky to not hit the wall or to not have the post fall on us, and I came out without any injury. My brother has some bruises and a friend got a big bruise on his leg. Really the crash itself doesnt bother me at all, probably due to karts and ive been in crashes with them before. What p**ses me off is the car, the impact bar under the bumper did the job well, and our 97 Mustang only needs to have a new impact bar, hood, and door. Well, thers probably a lot more to it than that, but we and the car were lucky to be damaged worse at all. I put a few pics up onto my webspace. http://server3005.freeyellow.com/possunors...P1010075.jpg http://server3005.freeyellow.com/possunors...P1010077.jpg http://server3005.freeyellow.com/possunors...10080.jpgYou can see in the pics that there is no bumper. The Ford Mustang was made in such a way that the bumper itself is a light VERY flexible piece on top of the actual impact bar bumper, so it just fell off and is actually completely undamaged. Thats why the car looks more naked than it really is.Really with this experience I now know how the
