Fed up 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2005 I second this motion, bring it back. Why was it withdrawn in the first place any way? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think this system is still in place and is being used by McClaren, Toyota and any other team outside the top 4 of last year(I think) that can afford to do so. nojvnof1 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2005 it's a different system to the 2003 system. Here is the 2003 system - this system saw teams - regardless of their finishing position in the WCC - sign up to two hours of testing on the Friday morning of a GP weekend. This session was conducted prior to official practice on Friday Teams who signed up for this however had only 10 days of testing outside GP weekends. Here is the current system - teams who placed outside the top 4 in the WCC are allowed an extra car in both Friday free practices. Teams are allowed unlimited testing out of the race weekend.
