The FIA are making F1 tame when it should be the fastest motorsport (maybe outside drag racing) and it should be revolutionary in terms of the technology. I agree with costcutting if it brings in more teams, but developing these new engines would surely cost more than carrying on with a tried and tested engine spec. This isnt good news We need some quick rule changes.. yes, more hasty rule changes is just what we need! let's face it 2006 is a write off in terms of engine changes, and most likely 2007 too. until a new regime/regulative environment/agreement for 2008 is put in place we are stuck with long life engines.
