ykickamoocow 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2005 Great Qualifying from DC, he beat alot of drivers who are in far superior cars to him. Remember that DC is in a midfeild car and should be getting 10th or 12th but he has consistantly qualifyed in the top 10 this season which shows how good he is. Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2005 I expect they are probably far lighter than the Mclarens! DC did a solid lap but ykickamoocow its only the last couple of races hes got back into the top 10! and was only the first 1/3 of the sesaon he was scoring good points

Kay 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2005 DC is heavier than anyone else Some pics for those that didn't see it live Kimi goes wide: Fisi and Alonso celebrate: Button gets ready for his 100th qualifying session - congrats! DC sets a solid lap - I remember when he hated this qualifying system because he was bad at it Alonso sets his pole lap: Jacques slow or as the conversation on the dutch coverage went: Pit Reporter said 'Jacques doesn't think this is a tough track to drive' then Jenson said 'Yeah but Jacques didn't drive so fast' And finally Webber rounds off the top 10:

narain fan 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2005 NK done well yeah.a solid lap, total commitment.atleast he was not trimming the grass running wide at turn 1 (like his teammate). he told in the post race pcfr that he is quite heavy on the fuel front
schumi13 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2005 Whatever Renault do they will never beat McLaren (this year anyway). McLaren will definitely win tomorrow but I presume Fisi is going to hold Kimi up during the race so Alonso can win it. Montoya will be coming up the field nicely too but I would like to see Michael Schumacher on the podiumfor this final race. Let's hope Kimi and Alonso have an incident and it's all down to the no. 2 drivers. After all their mistakes this year we could see a Ferrari 1-2. But lets got back to reality in 2005, shall we? jjoseph 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2005 A simpler answer is that the reason he is so far down he grid is because he is Takuma Sato! Cannot find a better answer
Senna 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2005 Of course Takuma is a terrible driver but he probably does have a lot of fuel in his car and he did have a very dirty track so he does have some legitimate reasons for his poor qualifying form
Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2005 Yes but Montoya went out 2nd? and hes 5th on the grid admittedly with probably less fuel and he does have a far quicker car, but still, Taku should have been at least in the top 15!

nojvnof1 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 NK must have been on fumes, or is there a seperate reason as to why he pitted after the warm-up lap.
Shadow 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 i read somewhere that he had a slight problem and wanted to make sure it was okay....by the way did you see if he took on fuel?????i did'nt watch yeah here is what he said; from P-f1 Narain Karthikeyan DNF: “It was an exciting race. We had to pit in the first lap because we had a slight problem and we wanted to make sure it was ok. I passed Doornbos in the first pit stop and the safety car came out for what was a long time, which caused my tyres to lose temperature and pressure, a lot of drivers were making mistakes trying to warm up their tyres. Then when the race started again, I had a good first lap and passed Sato. I was following Trulli and coming to turn 13, I do not know what happened. The car was on the artificial grass and it sucked me into the wall. I had a very big accident but I am happy to say that it could have been worse. I have a bit of a sore neck but apart from this I am ok.”
