Zoom Zoom Zoom...

Is that the sound of money being wasted? They must have spent at least $3M on this program and I haven't heard any mention of it in the US press. Have you? Seems like even as a marketing exercise it was a total disaster.

Formula 1 teams are allowed to waste money. Think how much that Ferrari 3 seater would have cost to build, or the McLaren 2 seater. These cars we not nessecary to build and they probley cost millions to make, but at the end of the day it the teams money and they can spend it how they please.

South African Driver Alan van der Marwe is doing it for BAR. YEAH.

By the way, I read a report and on their one attempt at about 380 odd km/h, the vibrations from the rough surface was so extreame van der Merwe said his eyes rolled into the back of his head and he couldn't even see the markers on the runway.

It does sound like an Expensive venture from BAR.

Yes but Bajo posted his topic after mine. This was here first. It is also in the correct place as this test is not really an F1 test nor does it really relate to F1, only very loosely.

Minardi had a 2 seater too didn't they? The team that didn't have the money to make their car more competitive than backmarker status at the time?

There are 2 races with the old Minardi 2 seaters as the curtain raisers to the Masters GP this weekend at kyalami. I see Doornbos is the one driver as well as BAR tester Alan van der Merwe.
