mock 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2006 Renault 'never helped me' - Alonso - 22 April 2006 All may not be well within Renault's Imola motorhome, with world champion and McLaren defector Fernando Alonso claiming that his team had 'never helped' him. The Spaniard was quoted as saying by 'Marca' newspaper: 'They actually never helped me in the four or five years that I've been here.' 24-year-old Alonso added that if he asked for something at a grand prix or a test, it was 'never given' to him. And he suggested: 'Anyone can see what has happened in some races.' Team principal and Alonso's foremost manager, Flavio Briatore, retorted that he did not 'understand' his lead driver's comments. irishfemalefan 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2006 is it not a bit stupid saying something like that in public & causing more problems within the team when he still has the rest of the season to go i would have thought it was largely due to renault & dedication to him that he won the championship - if he doesnt win next year with McLaren does that mean they didnt get behind him either - or did they i hate to say it but i think alonso is letting it all go a wee bit to his head & becoming Mr Attitude - hope not that was one of the main things i liked about him was his down to earth approach (and his skilfull driving of course)

ecapdeville 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2006 exactly - one of the main reasons that Alonso appealed to me & im sure many others was largely because he seemd sooo down to earth & not a c#cky wee brat - unfortuantely that seems to be changing - think he could do with a reality, feet on ground lesson & soon please Oh no! he got Montoya's desease!, wait till next year Fernando! kiko01 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2006 kiko this makes sense out of the amount of nonsense Fernando has been quoted the las couple of days but as we agreed before he need to get on with driving the thing. Let me ask you something, How are people in Asturias and Espana in general thinking about Alonso these days? I was there at this time last year and he was a god but I wonder with all the press that has come out if it's still the same or if it has changed at all. Although in general he
