Autumnpuma 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2006 There are tons of F1 Cars that look good, mostly past and a few present. You don't have to post a pic, just your thoughts. Here two of my favorites. I have tons more but this'll get us started. Mario Andretti's machine, '78 Watkins Glen. Beauty on wheels. 2000 'Orange' Arrows. A bit of Mean Halloween. Moderators, please move this to where you think it should go...?
ecapdeville 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2006 Moderators, please move this to where you think it should go...? Its ok! My favs... A lotus again, but with A.Senna driving it... The 1988 1999 Mclaren...damn beautiful machines I saw this car "live"...ahh the memories... (williams 1992)
Autumnpuma 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2006 I'd wager that JPS black/gold livery is on everybody's list. F1 Racing Magazine ran a 'photoshoped' photo of what the current McLaren would look like with black/gold livery (Johnny Walker sponsorship). I was soooo disappointed when it ran with silver instead... We need: 1) Black/gold livery 2) Gold rims on the Ferrari
Ctrl300 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2006 1986 Brabham BT55 JPS Lotus 95T of 1984

Autumnpuma 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2006 You found a pic of Brambilla! Excellent! Now for a splash of blue: One big kart. 1972 Tyrrell. 1967 Eagle/Weslake. Tasty. Great a$$ shot. Another money shot. Aaaannnd.... Since SAF1 will run out of Japanese drivers worthy of a seat, here's their '07 car:

Ctrl300 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2006 That T1G is probably one of the best looking cars ever. And ofcourse there is a McLaren connection BTW, this is the best looking car ever raced, the 1954 Mercedes W196R. All other racers look like they have been buildt in someones garage compared to this beauty.

Autumnpuma 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2006 Streamliner for pump.... And my Auto Union pick: I will have to say, the cars of '50-'68 really look great to me. I must like the coffin-on-wheels look..heh.
Ctrl300 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2006 I do agree. Although all the wingdings and aero bits, and space age design the present cars have, they can never reach the level of sofistication and beauty of the past racers. Maybe someone will have a different opinion 50 years down the line, but for now we decide whom is the better looking
