F1Babe 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2001 Ferrari is planning to kick off its world championship defence next season with this year's car and will not introduce a new chassis until the fourth race of the campaign. According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the team has chosen to stick with its successful F2001 for the first three 'fly-away' Grands Prix in Australia, Malaysia and Brazil. The new Ferrari will then make its racing debut at the San Marino GP on April 14. and i bet it will still be faster than the McLaren!
jagman 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2001 Yeah, apparently Ferrari have some new high tech engine/gear box combo that they wont be able to fully test its reliability becuase of the testing bans. Becuase the regulations for next year are similar to this years all the teams have the option to start with slightly revised versions of last years cars.
