Not really, cos Kimi was struggling and everyone was easily catching him.

Or, as Ben pointed out, perhaps Barrichello just simply isnt as good as JB. 'Getting used to the team' is a lame excuse.

Indeed Button was new to BAR in 2003 and yet beat JV

Button and Alonso would have easily got Raikkonen. Button had already overtaken Massa, Schumacher and Fisichella so I expect he would've passed Kimi too. Remember that Button finished about 30-40 seconds ahead of de la rosa, who was stuck behind raikkonen before he crashed

raikonen is a lot better than the drivers uv mentioned above and DLR is no kimi hes a lot slower KR wud have got bac on the pace easily n probs won

That is your opinion and you're entitled to that, but all the evidence would suggest that you are incorrect. Anyway kimi crashed so its his own fault

agreed at the end of the day kimi did crash so all of this is just pure conjecture and agen it was all his own fault but i feel if IF he hadnt crashed he wud have won but its a big if and he did crash but he shud have won that race

There are a lot of races Kimi should have won but was let down by his car. Also it would have been great if his car had held together at monaco, cos he was challenging alonso hard for the lead and there would have been a great race to the finish

Yes, anyone with a myopic one year old view of F1 would find it funny.

You know the only impressive thing Fifi ever did in the rain was win in a Jordan but he got alot of help from Alonso to achieve that.

Ofcourse some view F1 purely through stats instead of the full story so can see things completely differently.

Don't kid yourself my friend, there is no evidence to suggest that kimi was going to let DLR past. Kimi was just struggling for pace, Button and Alonso would have got him easily before the end of the race

what...

Kimi said himself in national tv broadcast, that he was informed by team to let Pedro pass because he was faster at that moment. Stop making up things like that.

good info....it was just a racing incident, one driver put his foot off the pedal, the other looking to let his teammate pass, neither has any regrets....end of story!

this whole debate is worthless, button drove EXTREMELY well for his win in wet weather conditions. He deserved the win, he was catching up fast to Alonso anyway!!!

I missed quali and it sounded well fun!!! Strange how JB and Barrichello set the same time!

Yeah u missed a good sesh. Any other track and there would be a lot of smashed up cars, but shanghai appears to have huge run-off areas on every corner

Funny how DLR got the better of Kimi in Q1 and Q2 then in Q3 Kimi just beat him...if fuel loads have anything to do with it all the people that voted Kimi will have egg on their face im thinking.

Don't know about those eggs, but Pedro is going to have Kimi's shower on his face, according to the starting grid :P

for those who said they had never seen Alonso in the rain... I think this very much settles the discussion topic of this forum. Here is on board footage from Alonso in Hungary earlier this year. And this he does with a heaviest fuel load... Particularly enjoyed what he did to the Ferraris... Incredible footage.
