F1 FANatic 1 Report post Posted November 6, 2006 wow, you put Massa behind Fisi. I think most of that you have is right, Kimi will probably be Champ but if he cant get to grips with the car i think Ferrari might just make him be second to Massa. I think DC could finish in front of Fisi too. You have to remember that the engines for 07 will be the same as they were this year. that gives the advantage to Ferrari, it is the most powerful out there but since Red bull are using Reno engines it might just be down to Areo and since tries are the same as well, id give the Newey car the edge. Also, nick and Kubi could well fight for 5th and 6th if BMW keep up the work. all in all here is how i see it. Drivers Championship 1. Kimi R

Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2006 I think kimi will be world champion, but we've got nothing to go on really to predict 2007 - for now i'll say it should be a good fight between the top 3 drivers, Kimi Alonso and Button. But I think kimi will have the best package to win it

F1 FANatic 1 Report post Posted November 7, 2006 I say we set up some ground rules. 1. all predictions are changeable based on testing results and news about the teams during the off season. 2. one month before the start of the season all contestants must present their final list. 3. After the first 3 races of the season all contestants are able to rebuild their predictions for a final time. 4. at the end of the season the person that was the closest to picking the field in the right order gets to feel that warm fuzzy feeling and being able to say I told you so for a week. right now predictions are more based on this years performances and seeing how the rules will impact development and just the gut feelings you have about a team/driver. And thats all predictions are but its still fun to try and see the future. Its a pointless but fun exercise to keep us entertained through the off season, so lets not have this degrade like last years thread into name calling. thats all i have to say before it turns bad.
ykickamoocow 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2006 Agreed. I do request however that instead of editing your old predictions you simply create new ones as that means i can see how good each person's hunches are when i look at this thread during the 2007 season. Shane2 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2006 Its a shame to see williams slide the way they have, after all that they have achieved Sadly F1 has became so commercial the Independant teams are struggling to survive. I hope their 2007 Chassis along with the normally reliable Toyota engines can start to turn them around again.
