Chargers

Recommended Posts

The San Diego Chargers after beating the Arizona Cardinals today and after the Bears loss to green Bay own footballs best record (14-2) heading into the play-offs. They also get a much needed bye week off after 14 straight games and are on a 10 game winning streak, they also have home field advantage till the Superbowl in the AFC.

The Jets with a win today also made the playoffs while the Bronco's, hehehehehe, lost and fell out.

I wish I followed football more so I could continue intelligently with this thread, but the last time I followed football, LA had a team and the Raiders were in Oakland (I hear they are back there again..?).

I may start some ChampCar, ALMS and NASCAR threads............

Well you need to join us at the Champcar season opener in Las Vegas, April 8, they will have the Historic Grand Prix race Sunday before the Champcars race.

Adrien is handling the details, but we'll likely stay off the strip and commute in. I'd like to stay at the Four Queens or Fitzpatricks (if it's still there) because I think you can see the track from the rooms..... :eusa_think: To tell you the truth, I'm looking forward more to the historics than the race, but it's all good.

Speaking of race meetups, are you two planning on going to the GP?

It's likely that I'll be there, but no details yet.

The tackiest place in the universe.

See what I mean? Never a good word for anything American. Should I keep pointing out examples of how you insert anti-American comments into any thread and wait for others to jump on and begin the bash-fest? Have you ever been to Vegas? It's a different experience in person than on the TV.

They have replica pyramids and a mini eiffel tower there which is rather tacky. Can you think of a more tacky place in the world because if you can then i will retract my comment.

My job isn't to find a more tacky place in the world (because that would indicate I agree with your assessment of 'tacky'...which I don't), it's to inform you that it looks different in person. Can you counter that? Unless you've been there, I won't take your opinion seriously.

Ive seen plenty of ariel shots of the area and many of the fountains outside of casino's plus a tonn of fake landmarks from around the world which include the pyramids of Egypt and the Eiffel Tower which is in Paris. Any place which tries to recreate that many world landmarks around a billion casino's is obviously a tacky place. I just remembered about the 24 hour wedding serices where you can get married in many different themes. How is that not tacky?

Don't even answer ykick, he's not worth the time.

No Chris I won't be going to the GP, I have a limited road trip budget this year so as to save up for a European F1 race in 2008.

Mike, we are still undecided about where to stay, on the old strip where the race is or at the Rio, stay at the Rio for free or pay for room :eusa_think: Whatever I'll know by tonight, any later and it'll be tough getting a flight package and rooms are going fast.

Indeed. The Rio is a great hotel....forget the gambling, I stake a place at the pool and watch the hotties swim! (best looking girls are at the Rio).

Anyway, I'm reasonably sure we're driving up there and most likely will stay north of old Vegas and drive into the GP. I'll definately let you know via PM when I get a better idea so we can hook up.

its still the chargers though, at some point they'll choke and loose big time. and i'm saying this as a fan. and the Pads traded of sold almost all their players so kiss a third strait NL west title good bye. How the hell do you trade the best Rookie in the NL for a second rate third baseman who may hit 20 homers. 07 will be a bad year for SD sports. anyway thats my rant

The Chargers are a much better balanced team this year, and as far as the Pads go, wait and see.............
