A Day Out For The Old Boys

Recommended Posts

Aguri Suzuki, Christian Danner and Martin Brundle were at various times in their careers team mates and rivals in Formula 1 but the trio will be all on the same side today at Silverstone as they take it in turns to test drive a Super Aguri SA06. Aguri will run the car to see just what a handful it was for his drivers in 2006 while Brundle and Danner will be filming their adventures for British and German TV respectively.

Brundle and Danner were F1 team mates with the Zakspeed team back in 1987 while Brundle went on to team with Suzuki at Ligier in 1995. Danner and Suzuki both drove for Arrows but at different times.

Should be quite interesting? Or not?

Im suprised Brundle didnt get to use the RB2 as he does already have a relationship with the team and dispite the fact the RB2 was a pig it was better than the SA06.

PS could you make that font abit bigger as its kind of hard to read.

Sorry. I'm having a bad font day. You're lucky you can read it at all - the first version was tiny.

ITV Sport commentator Martin Brundle returned to the wheel of a grand prix car on Monday when he tested a current-spec Super Aguri at Silverstone.

Brundle was invited to join team boss Aguri Suzuki and fellow TV commentator Christian Danner in a special event filmed by each of their national broadcasters.

Martin was delighted with the chance to sample the version of the car that Takuma Sato raced to 10th place in the 2006 season finale in Brazil.
