maure 1 Report post Posted March 9, 2008 Lorenzo is da' man, I don't care what anyone says, he's brilliant. Bridgestone are struggling for pace at this track, only two in the top ten (Stoner, Rossi). Finally a British talent in Toseland, amazing stuff. So that makes two rookies on the front row, and all of the front row are Michellin shod Yammas. Rossi will start to question his decision to change tyres. Lorenzo/Toseland seem to have the best chance of winning, although never count out Stoner, and never ever count out No.46. You wrote what I was about to write. Freaky. Interesting start of the season... looking forward to tonight's races.

DOF_power 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2008 Stoner wins again. Pedrosa did well. Lorenzo, Dovizioso, Toseland fantastic race.
aussief1 4 Report post Posted March 9, 2008 Casey as picked up where he left off last year, supreme ride Lorenzo, Dovizioso, Toseland fantastic race. I agree, great first MotoGp race from the three of them.
Rainmaster 7 Report post Posted March 9, 2008 That was a great race! The rookies are looking damn good. Stoner wins, even though it looked like it might of been a Michellin race - darn that guys good. Melandri struggles a lot. Toseland/Edwards engines weren't good enough. Excellent stuff from Pedrosa. As for Rossi, hmmm.
Eric 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2008 Blech. Hopkins turned down multiple lucrative offers. I'd love to know which teams they were from. I bet they were all better than his piece of s##t Kawasaki. Come on!

aussief1 4 Report post Posted March 10, 2008 Blech. Hopkins turned down multiple lucrative offers. I'd love to know which teams they were from. I bet they were all better than his piece of s##t Kawasaki. Come on! I like Hopper, he is a great guy and a good rider and deserves a better bike than Kawasaki have at the moment. His move to Kawasaki confused me somewhat, may have been the money on offer i don't know, but I fingers crossed he along with Westy, can sort the bike out and be in a better position by the end of the season. How good was Pedrosa's start, he flew from 8th on the grid to have a comfortable lead going into turn one.

I agree with you about Hopkins, and I forgot to mention Pedrosa's stunning start - shame on me cos' I thought it was a jump start! @Jez: Thanks for the pics, the track looked awesome when viewed like that. Casey Stoners sublime skill is winning over some of my support despite the fact I really don't like Ducati... Stoner rules, the best racer in the best moto, can't see anything strange happening here. Lorenzo was amazing and Rossi was... Rossi is running out of excuses. Bridgestone won and two Yamahas finished ahead of him
Rainmaster 7 Report post Posted March 10, 2008 Maybe Yamaha* haven't adjusted to the Bridgestones yet...but yeah, he's starting to look a little outdated. His side of the garage.

That's exactly what I think it is. If anyone can make the Bridgestone work on the Yamaha it's Rossi. May need a little time though. I thought the track suited the Michelins more than the Bridgestones, but the Ducati along with Casey are just in a league of their own at the moment.

No worries. I can't wait for Singapore! The cars will look even more impressive than these motogp pics, being on a street circuit and all. aussief1 4 Report post Posted March 11, 2008 Why was his team mate 44 second behind on the same factory Ducatti ?! That's a good question!!! Marco is not trusting of the Ducati electronic's is what i've heard. Him being so far off the pace is very disappointing indeed.
maure 1 Report post Posted March 11, 2008 Nice start of the season, not only for motoGP but also for 125cc (pity for Smith) and 250cc (bravo for Pasini). Anyway, Stoner is becoming a true master. His riding was truly spot on. Seeing Lorenzo fight it through, especially with Rossi, was quite quite nice. I don't think Rossi is done for but, gotta say, the guy is not what he was. A shame. A strong Rossi would make this a beautiful season. Let's hope...
elgo 1 Report post Posted March 11, 2008 I agree with the general opinion.I hope Pasini can deliver this season...he's prved to be an excellent rider on many occasions but failed to get results... 125cc was brilliant,so was MotoGP,and so was Rossi There's already a rivalry between Pedrosa and Lorenzo, who said that Pedrosa didn't congratulate him after the race. Why didn't Pedrosa tell me that I'm the best? But mommy says it to me everyday!
maure 1 Report post Posted March 12, 2008 Lorenzo and Pedrosa were at each other in 250cc and things didn't work out very well for Lorenzo. It might be just me, but Lorenzo is got a mouth the size of an airport. Anyways, the Spaniards did very well on the first GP, 5 out of 9 podiums by my count. Cheers on that to the Spaniards around here. BTW, I suppose you guys know that Superbikes can be watched for free on the net.... brilliant stuff for motorcycle lovers, just brilliant.
