Kay 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2007 I'll just keep updating this post with commentry so people can read what they may have missed. Mistakes: Schumacher: Misses Casino Hairpin - Continues. Massa: Misses Apex for Turn 3 - Continues. Raikkonen: Misses his braking point for Turn 6 - Continues. Coulthard: Misses his braking point for Turn 8 - Continues. Alonso: Outlap misses his braking point for Turn 8 - Continues. Coulthard: Too wide into Turn 1 and goes off road - Continues. Hamilton: Too wide into the final chicane - Continues. Coulthard: Repeats his previous mistake - Continues. Alonso: Gets extremely close to the Champions Wall. Raikkonen: Locks up into Turn 3 - Continues. Drivers: Rosberg is sitting out this session. Michael is again present at the race track. Weather & Track Conditions Apparently sunny; chance of rain in latter stages of Practice 2. Air Temp around 23-25. (Practice 1) Track Lacks Grip in Practice 1. Track Temp up to 37 degrees (From 32). Super softs are used by a few teams in the dying moments. At the end of the session Speed complained that Webber brake tested him (yes on an in lap) and whined on about wanting to hear what Webber had to say. Kay 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2007 Saturday Practice is now on. I shall update this post similar to what I did for Practice 1. Mistakes: Update on yesterday's session (I didn't see much of it) from aurosport: A statement issued by the race stewards said: "The Stewards after hearing the explanation of both the Competitors' representatives and the drivers and seeing video evidence find that the incident of the collision itself requires no further action but Mark Webber is reprimanded in respect of his actions on entry to the corner immediately prior to the collision." Rosberg - Misses his braking point for the final chicane - Continues. Raikkonen - Copies Rosberg but then goes one better off in Turn 1 - Continues. Albers - Gets a bit too close to the wall after Turn 4 - Contines. Rosberg - Then copies Raikkonen's Turn 1 move - Continues. Hamilton - Lock up into Turn 10 causing him to go wide - Continues. Raikkonen - Makes the same mistake at Turn 1 again - Continues. Kovalainen - Huge lock up into the Casino hairpin - Continues. Alonso - Overshoots the final chicane - Continues. Heidfeld - Off at Turn 1 and rejoins for Turn 2 - Continues. Davidson - Manages to cut the chicane. Drivers / Teams: Toyota were considering whether the car would be safe enough for the race but have apparently fixed said problem. Coulthard remained dead last until his final lap. Weather & Track Conditions Rained overnight for a few hours. No more rain is predicted. Track very green and many drivers do not wish to go out until others have. Problems Kovalainen has a huge engine failure just over half way through the session. Session red flagged at 10:33 and continues at 10:50 That's it for the end of session 3.
