No doubt this session will see us losing both Red Bulls, Toyotas and Hondas (there are three though).

I wouldnt bet on it. Coulthard was on a good lap when he spun so he can go alot faster.

Well I listed 8 cars, so obviously they all can't be kicked out of Q2, but I don't see any other cars going... perhaps a Renault if one of them decides to mess up their lap.

We lose two Toyota powered cars, three Hondas and a Red Bull.

Guess which overpaid driver was outqualified by his teammate...again?

Im not that upset with Coulthard's position as i dont think the Red Bull can go much faster. The good thing about 11th is its the first position where the driver gets to chose his race fuel load on raceday.

So it's ok to be beaten by your team mate who had significantly less laps than you in practice?

Ok.

You do know that im not David Coulthard dont you?

Anyway Webber is known as a qualifying specialist and its no shame to be less than .1 of a second slower. Coulthard will get to chose his fuel load tomorrow and he isnt wasting tyres in the last session. I think both Red Bull's can score good points tomorrow.

About time! :P

Indeed. Considering I've waited so long, I wish to bathe in the glory as much as possible.

Then there is the additional satisfaction of Sutil outqualifying Albers, Webber & Heikki outqualifying Fisi.

*absorbs rays*

Coulthard is as fast as Hamilton in the 3rd sector and he is the fastest in the speed trap. That is going to help in the race.

Nope. Red Bull are running the wrong aero settings, they'll be toast in the race. They'll end up being passed in the mickey mouse infield the way things are right now.

The question is which Red Bull will retire (first?) tomorrow.

Guess which overpaid driver was outqualified by his teammate...again?

Alonso?

Random thoughts from qualifying:

The new Ferrari red can clearly be seen in the pits, unfortunately you can't make out on the on boards. It is  , I know what colour my Brera :( ok random cheap car is going to be.

That kid is god. Maybe he is showing up the lack of real quality on the grid after Michael's departure. He is repeatedly gaiing upto a tenth on the last sector by going right upto the wall. Noone else dares. As I said after Friday practice, after trying and trying he seems to have mastered the infield.

Great lap from Massa, and the way he was fighting the car was awesome. He's a fighter, not championship material unfortunately, and never will be.

Kimi. Boo.

Fettel kid: Disappointing. There isn't that much of track to learn in Indy, being that far down means he ****ed up big time.

Fisi  Hope he's fuelled up or something, he used to like this track.

Oh and Albers can plan his retirement party, irrespective of whether Sutil can stop crashing. Either they're both going out of F1, or just Albers is. He just can't get enough out of the car.

thought the car looked quite twitchy for Massa :( and he did look seriously gutted, hopefully this is a good sign & he expects much better things in the race

Though Buttons car looked 1 of the worse when it showed an in-car shot, looked like he was driving a 1980

Not true. The best overtaking corner at the USGP is turn 1 and if Coulthard is as fast as the McLaren's in that sector and he has one of the highest top speed's then that will help him overtake others. Where Coulthard is abit slow (middle sector) you cannot overtake anyway so it isnt as important to be fast in that sector.

Fettel kid: Disappointing. There isn't that much of track to learn in Indy, being that far down means he ****ed up big time.

For a 19 year old on his first GP i thought he drove very well.
