Eric 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2007 I did a blog entry on this a few months ago. Formula 1Round 1: Adelaide, Australia Round 2: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Sepang) Round 3: Yas Island, Abu Dhabi (the 2009 street circuit, looks cool) Round 4: Valencia, Spain (the street circuit) Round 5: Paul Ricard Round 6: Monte Carlo Round 7: Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant, Canada (Montreal is cool, but Mont-Tremblant is cooler) Round 8: Watkins Glen, USA (it's a cool track...and it's close to me...sort of...closer than Indy) Round 9: Mexico City, Mexico (the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez CCWS race is always awesome) Round 10: Brands Hatch, GB (Brands is uber cool, IMO) Round 11: Le Mans (it would just be...fast...and awesome) Round 12: A1-Ring/Red Bull Ring (always liked that track) Round 14: 14-mile Nurburgring Nordschliefe (you can't have the pinnacle of motorsport without this bad boy) Round 15: Istanbul, Turkey (one of the best modern-day circuits) Round 16: Monza, Italy Round 17: Spa, Belgium (see Nurburgring Nordschliefe) Round 18: Shanghai, China (not the best track, but it's been kind of interesting at times, sort of) Round 19: Suzuka, Japan (see Nurburgring Nordschliefe) Round 20: Las Vegas, USA (the CCWS street course...the final turns are just so cool) Round 21: Buenos Aires, Argentina (I kind of like that circuit) Round 22: Sao Paulo, Brazil (I really like Interlagos, it's a good final race and all) It's a rough idea, and it's over the limit of 18. Eric 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2007 Okay. I'll cut Monte Carlo...uhm... Nope. Can't think of any others. Even if you set an 18-race limit, I'd like to have 22 races. The season is too short with too many off-weekends.

Eric 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2007 I never understood Monaco. I know it has history, but it seems to be more about glamour and celebrities and a race for people who don't care about F1 to attend just because it's the cool thing to do. The race itself just seems boring. The modern-day cars just don't work on that circuit. (I think the July 2007 issue of F1 Racing mag had a letter about this)
Giorgio 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2007 i dont think driving in those twisty streets with 250km/h is exactly 'glamorous' but monaco can combine adrenaline (for drivers) and glamour for the spectators, vips, etc...

But I just love the concept of street racing, a pity about the overtaking, but glamour is just so synonomous with F1, it is after all the pinnacle of motorsport, or suppose to be...
