Biggest Laugh Of The Season? Pah, Fia Just Won It!

Recommended Posts

honestly if they penalized mclaren so heavily for having ferrari's secrets, they probably need to penalize every team on the grid since i'm sure every team now has copies of the secrets to both mclaren and ferrari's cars that the fia published. they fined mclaren 100million, mclaren and ferrari should sue them for hundreds more just for what they did. all information submitted to the fia should have been kept private but were made public to everyone. but of course, since the fia did it, it's perfectly alright and they'll just deny responsibility.

Not me, but I bet that if you wait a couple of days they will be available everywhere. Such is the power of the internet!

nah, the FIA will take themselves to court, subsequently lose the case against themselves (because they are incompetent) and rarely find the correct verdict in these things, then find that Mclaren have possesion of the PDF's which contain Ferrari information, take them to court, win (because they are incompetent) and rarely find the correct verdict in these things, fine Mclaren another (completely justifiable) $100m and exclude them from next year's championship.

Jean Todt will then propose to Max Mosley.

It's true...

This could be a god-send for other teams and spectators as it might make next years championship a lot closer.

I wonder if FIA did it on purpose ? :eusa_think:

I think it's quite unlikely that it will affect next year's championship at all really, most of the other teams don't have the budget, personal, or knowledge to make winning cars - and even if they did, they wouldn't be able to keep up with the developement rates over a season with the likes of Ferrari, Mclaren & Renault.

The FIA didn't do it on purpose, they are just idiots...

Ahem, perhaps you have done this by now, but if you went to McDermit's thread you could download the pdf's, you could then copy the darkened out bits into another program (word for example) and then you might be able to see exactly what those bits said...

Theoretically anyway...

I suppose whatever you found would make for some really interesting reading...

Yeah you're probably right but I can dream..... :)

Yep, right again.

Of course, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird, that cannot fly...

Looks like another strange post by rainmaster. Anyway must go now, I have some reading to do, if you know what I mean.

That document is very interesting. Or at least it would be if I had read it. Which I haven't obviously.

The FIA never ceases to amaze. Is there no beginning to their competence?

Their is no beginning to their competence, and there is no beginning, middle or end to their incompetence - you might say it was circular, a bit like their logic...

1] Coughlan's salary 300 000 to 400 000 pounds per year.

2] The the brake systems are different.

Valve system for McLaren and double-rear master cylinder with a spring for Ferrari. Both achieve the same result, they delay the braking of the rear then increase it gradually (working like a sort of ABS for the rear).

3] The gas Ferrari uses is CO2.

4] McLaren moved weight forward, by amongst other reducing the weight of the gearbox. Ferrari figures not specified, but aparently/probably more rear biased.

Not much more.

Would such revelation of McLaren designs in WMSC benefit Ferrari in the future? :eusa_think:

Probably not due to their differences to witch I think they'll stick.

But the cat's out of the bag when it comes to both McLaren and Ferrari's braking systems and the gas used (CO2).

Ferrari using CO2 ???? is that not what the rest of the world is trying to get rid of because of the Greenhouse Gas effect.

BAN Ferrari as they are no longer GREEN :-)

According to FIA, McLaren cannot have any kind of Ferrari intellectual property in their 2008 cars. How about Ferrari? Can they use McLaren intellectual property after the revelations/exchange of evidences in WMSC? Will Ferrari's or other teams' 2008 cars being examined at the same way?

I hope Max would not give further advantage to Ferrari again.
