Surfers Paradise is also in the game. Really hard & tough corners. We should put it to vote cos you never know, we coyuld have over 20 circuits on the F1 calendar by 2009! It's all built and ready to go when I was there last month for the race but, no one inside. Yep well Philip Island can host the MOTO GP, and ship all the un official, Prima Donnas to the circuit so why not hold the GP there, is a great track and would test the best of F1, given the changing weather conditions, but alas there are no SUBSTANTIAL poser type hotels near bye. Thats what it all comes do to in reality, POSING for those up the top, they dont give a Sh#t about the racing as long as they have their Latte's and have cameras everywhere to photograhp them, like whio is interested in the racing ? only the bloody fans that pay the money You're 100% correct mate Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Eric 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2007 Bathurst is'nt bad. That's in 1 of the pre-owned games I bought 2 eeks ago, ToCa Race Driver 3. Features loads of racing lasses including V8 Supercars & Aussie traks like Bathurst, Adelaide, Eastern Creek, dunno if Albert Park is in it. TRD3's a sick game, man. I dig it. Only racing games I like more are NASCAR Racing 2003, rFactor, GT4, and NASCAR Heat. Prefer PC games to console since you can modify the games with new tracks and carsets (my NR2003 has 2001 Cup, 2005 cup, 2006 Cup, 2007 Cup, 2003 Busch, 2003 Truck, 2006 Truck, 2005 IndyCar, etc...my rFactor has F1 06, F1 07, F1 05, Champ Car 05, Champ Car 06, Aussie V8 06, NASCAR 07, F1 79, etc) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

KoolMonkey 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2007 Bathurst would rock as an F1 circuit. But like the old Ring, it's not going to happen. There's very little run off areas especially going up the mountain and I doubt any local government would be prepared to make it F1 worthy. It would be an incredible circuit, but it won't ever happen. If they can do it, then they could do it for the old Ring as well. But the days of nice long circuits are gone. It makes great TV watching but the costs, setup etc., would be insane. I guess Surfers would be ok. I went to a few Indy car races back in the 90s, but I never thought it was something special. Better they design a totally new track somewhere in Australia or find another street location. One place no one has mentioned is Adelaide. WHY do F1 cars run around a street circuit, that is litterally bounded by concrete blocks, and have no problem with dealing with them , BUT if they have a "Racing Circuit" all they want are HUGE run off areas so that they can escape a mistake they have made. At Bathurst, they can have the BEST of BOTH worlds, Tight twisty corners with little or no run off and of course concrete walls and then open spaces.!!!
