"shameless Hypocrites Devoid Of Any Integrity"!

Recommended Posts

On September 11th 2007

In a statement which hopefully belies the true team ethos, Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo has said that he would be delighted to see his team win the World Championship by default should McLaren be thrown out of the championship on Thursday.

Speaking to reporters at the Frankfurt Auto Show, the Italian said: "It would be a victory richly deserved. If we win the world championship over a table it would be deserved because the ones who lose would have won it in a way which was not correct, not loyal and not sport."...

...Nigel Tozzi QC, defending the interests o fthe team (Ferrari) and of Kimi Raikkonen who claimed the crown on the track: "This is not the way a Formula One World Championship should be won," insisted Tozzi towards the end of the four-hour tribunal, with a verdict due tomorrow ... "It could be said McLaren are shameless hypocrites devoid of any integrity, or maybe what their representatives have said should be taken at face value ... If what they want is clarity, then by all means let them have that, but do not allow them to have the world championship this way ... It would be highly damaging for the sport if the title were to be won this way ... The fans would probably feel it had been achieved by grubby manoeuvring by the lawyers rather than by skill on the track"...

 Nice find. Eventually people will realise they're all willing to win by whatever means necessary, where "they" refers to anyone with any success.

Ha, ha, ha, haaaa!

When you prancing donkeys decide which of the two is true, pleez just let us know...

ok then I 'll try my luck explaining to you what you should have thought up by yourself...

First of all, we are talking about two different championships.

Luca, the official Ferrari representative, was talking about the constructors championship. What he said was that if their cars are winning because of our hard work, then we 'll take that championship from them in the court, thank you very much! Does this need any more clarification??If it does I 'll get into more detail tomorrow!

The Ferrari lawyer who is at the Mclaren's appeal hearing (different person than the previous one), was referring to the DRIVER's championship. There if the driver that has won hasn't done it by using illegal means and instead won it by racing alone, that championship has no excuse to be decided in a court room. The best driver wins the WDC and that driver was Kimi this year. Any (possible) cheating from other teams, should not deprive him the championship, for something HE didn't do! Mclaren robbed Ferrari off and got what they deserved. Their drivers blew it in the last races and they lost everything. Trying to move up the grid and winning a driver's championship in court, even though the best driver won and by no fault of his own, is just pathetic, just like some of their fans.

pathetic how you make this comment about their fans being pathetic.

great first post and indeed the hypocricy of Ferrari is clear to be seen by all

and dont forget Kimi only won the WDC because Ferrari adopted (openly) an illegal team orders policy in the last race - whilst their competition had FIA stweards in the pits to ensure Ferraris competition did not do the same!

Isn't it pathetic to call my post pathetic?

That's ironic !!

P.S. I said ...some of their fans..!!!

It's pathetic to reply to someone without reading their post carefully! Even if it's pathetic of me to say that! Ironically this whole "pathetic" row started when "sixten" said

"Ha, ha, ha, haaaa!

Pathetic as we (or I) may be, we don't need any further clarification, as Mr. Montezemolo and Mr. Tozzi (both acting on behalf of Ferrari) have already said enough to advertise their team's ethos. Any human being with brains developed more than that of a chimpanzee can understand this...

As for the best driver this year, it seems that many are those who still envy reality... No, Kimi wasn't the best driver this year... Try another guess...

(All following are pure guesses of my own and I am not trying to advertise them as facts, like other non-pathetic fans do)...

No, McLaren's drivers did not blow it in the last races... Here's what I believe...

China: McLaren race since 1966 (that is 41 years of experience). They know much more better than any of us forumers about tyres. Moreover, they have telemetry and a vast amount of data flowing on the monitors in front of them every single second. Data including each tyre's condition at any given moment. They knew Lewis' tyres condition many laps before you and I hardly noticed something was wrong! And yet they chose to let him race on those tyres! My opinion: they wanted him to fall back enough places (if not to completely retire). They chose to do so! Not because they didn't know but exactly because they did know!

Japan: Unfortunately for the reds, Lewis is still in the game for the championship and so is Alonso, while only one of their drivers has a faint chance to get there (he is the 3rd candidate) and all signs show Lewis is going to be No 1, unless something extraordinary happens!... And that's exactly what happened! First he loses lots of places because of a "mistake"... A mistake of a kind he never showed... Even Montezemolo and the "great" Shoemaker have expressed their respect for his consistency!... So, how this happened?... Well, let's accept that it just did... However, he was still in 8th position and that meant he was still in the game... So, he had to lose some more places... Then, all of a sudden he starts to fall back losing about 40 seconds!... How convenient!... Then, all of a sudden again, the car recovers and continues his race well out of all chances of getting himself a place for the championship... Then we hear all sort of explanations from him and McLaren... I don't believe any of those explanations can be accepted by any F1 who's watched more than a season...

Gearbox?... How many of you have ever seen a malfunctioning gearbox coming alive again in the history of F1? None? So I guessed...

The initializing button? Do you suppose this a button of a 10 cm diameter sitting in the centre of the wheel so any driver can accidentally push it? Again, have you ever heard of any similar incident in F1, even made by a less experienced driver? No? That was my guess again...

What I believe? Both championships were handed to Ferrari by McLaren under the table for reasons unknown to me... Maybe a less strict FIA supervision for 2008 was in the terms... Maybe, I just say... Or maybe the deal was that McLaren's drivers could race for the rest of the season (for sponsoring and TV reasons) but they shouldn't get the championship...

The big picture I see is that of after "winning" the constructors championship in court, Ferrari believed they could get the drivers championship on their own, but alas, they just couldn't!... So, two races before the end of the championship McLaren had to do something (twice) to ensure they don't get the championship...

Moreover, the body language of both Ferrari drivers on Brazil's podium tells more than a lot! Those guys just know how they got this year's championships and they don't seem to be proud of their prize! Not proud at all!... Proud is Lewis who stated he wouldn't accept the world's title if it is to be decided on court (and assuming he'll walk the walk)...

Before you prancing donkeys start commenting again about mushrooms, pathetic fans or other similar wisecracks, read again that all of the above are just my guessing, not stated as true, because you and only you (red fans) have the privilege of knowing the whole truth as well as that of the clear view of things and the right (as well as the Force) is always on your side... God bless you!

@Murray Walker: (Eventually people will realise they're all willing to win by whatever means necessary, where "they" refers to anyone with any success.) How true, my friend... And my favourite team is not excluded from what you state... Sorry to say that...

Lets be honest, both parties here have some level of hypocrisy.

My main question is, why are Ferrari at this hearing? McLaren is the team heading prosecution, BMW and Williams are the teams defending their own actions. How did Ferrari's lawyers get in there?? The title that *could* be decided by the outcome of this has nothing to do with anything, the regulations are everything.

As much as I would love to see Hamilton to take the title I would think a clarification of the rules would be better, along with a small fine to the teams.

About time the stewards got some proper temperature readings too, I mean come on, thermometers aren't expensive, if they had the correct equipment at the race this hearing wouldn't be necessary!

Actually, we know the history of a certain team, ^_^ how they won, and how they used to claim foul when they were losing.

But still, I don't care.

I don't want to start an outcry now.

But I don't want Lewis to win the title like this, but then again I dont mind :D .

Anyone remember how Renault criticized Mclaren during Spy saga? and they even went too far by attending the show in court. Now they themselves have become a part of another series of the show.

I enjoy racing. All I am hoping is for another fantastic season on track. What happens outside I don't care.

Weather Lewis dates a pussy,

weather Kimi slept with a model,

weather Andres gets divorced by Bernie or viceversa,

weather Cav is secretly planning to get married.

I am going to just sit and enjoy watching races in my new Samsung Widescreen 70" lCD TV.

You can be my guest.

The largest Plasma TV is 102" and LCD is 70". Samsung has both records...

Care to back this up with anything? even a blog website posting rumors will do. That wasn't the first time during this year that Kimi beat Massa in this way. He did it with a heavier fuel load and faster in & out laps. Massa made no secret of his intent to take the win. Since Kimi actually beat him on the track, we will never know if he would have in fact let Kimi pass him.

Kimi won the WDC because he earned it. Massa never gifted him a point. Massa was even when it was mathematically impossible, still hoping to win the WDC, that's how determined he was.

Nope. He said he will help the team after it's not mathematically possible. If you had seen the Brazil Press conference(the race he gave to Kimi) he said "if it helps the team, i am happy" like 10 times in his speech....

That was probably a line Felipe was forced to spew, before the race he was saying he wasn't going to bother helping Kimi. I think the new contract that suddenly materialised before the race was a bribe to get him to play nicely.
