Eric 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2007 A question mark would imply a rumour. A question mark would pose the question. Exclamation marks are used to accentuate an abrupt or forceful utterance. When using exclamtion marks it is not for the purposes of leaving doubt or suggestion of choice. Before you incorrectly judge my ability to use etiquette, learn about punctuation(!!)?? I was using sarcasm?

KoolMonkey 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2007 Wow, for a sarcastic fantasy draft kind of post, this went OT rather hard. If anyone actually for a minute believed this was a rumor then shame on you. People like to talk about the what ifs and who was the greatest etc. Just offering a simple fantasy draft "what if". And we had nothing more to say, so we let it go to more fun stuff.

Call me an old fashioned guy who likes a bit of old fashioned punctuation. If 'what if' is being used, a question mark should follow it unless it is being used in the context of the rhetoric.
