Final Test Of 2007

77 posts in this topic

Going by the quote you posted anyway.

Bernie and Max should buy some massive logging endangered part of the world and preserve it for future generations and that on it's own will be more than enough to off set the environment damage the sport has.

Anyway back to talking about testing and enough of the ranting about Honda's inability to land a title sponsor and covering it up with this rubbish about saving the world. Because everyone knows in order to save the world you need to save the cheerleader!!!!!

You have not read Med's sig enough of times... :nono: <<<How the hell is that a nono???

Its SHAVE the cheerleader not save... Its a common error, i forgive you... :P

And in order to save the cheerleader you must first make sweet love to Peter Petrelli!

Or is that just me haha!

Back on topic lol... Testing yesterday was, um, interesting! haha!

I must also say why are Honda not running in their testing black? They always looked hot in black. I also hope to ****ing god they don't run the earth livery again next year... I really liked it at first but the novelty wore off and I now hate it!

Why do you hate everything?

R U an emo?

Anyways this is the real reason why I responded to you.

Honda will most likely run the Black car in the PRE season testing next year so that way if they have something revoultionary parts the other teams will find it harder to trace where it is. I suppose.

And JR Don't worry, be happy.

Glock, Bourdais, Fisichella did well but its only a test session so who knows whats happening there.

And Heidfeld Last?

Arn well its all a bit academic now isnt it!

Nick Heidfeld was not amused at the end of Wednesday's test at Jerez. The German busied himself with slicks and the aero package that comes under the rules for the 2009 Formula One season. The 2009 rules bring only half the downforce in comparison with today's rules and with slicks that are not up to temperature it is getting even worse. Heidfeld, who was the slowest man on track, was all but positive about the proposed changes for 2009.

Speaking with GPUpdate.net he said about his day of testing: "Today (Wednesday), we ran with the 2009 downforce, which will be around half as effective as the one we're driving with this season. If the slicks return, they won't give as much grip as you'd expect as we will also lose grip as there is less downforce, so we will be slower in 2009. If it will stay like this and the tyres will stay like this, it will be extremely dangerous in 2009. On my outlap I even thought about coming back in, because there were so many drivers flying past me. You feel like you're standing still compared to the others and it's very easy to spin the car. It's very, very dangerous. Bridgestone could turn this around by making better tyres, but the question is: does it make sense for them? If there's another tyre supplier and there is competition, it would be solved. If the tyres become softer, it will help a lot. But I'm not a tyre expert, maybe the mixture of the compound should change, but like this, it will be extremely dangerous. They should change the tyres, or they should allow tyre heaters for 2009."

Next season the FIA will bann traction control on cars to make the races more interesting. But with the aero rules for 2009 and perhaps the return of slicks Heidfeld believes things won't get much easier. "Without traction control it's even worse, but if we would run with traction control (in 2009), it would still be very, very difficult. Even if the tyres are hot, you have so little grip with the new package. We have too much power and too little grip. I don't like it at all," a disappointed Heidfeld said.

Not that any of the other teams would bother :P:lol:

He first had an engine problem and then 2 crashes...

and crashed twice in same curve hehe

So he was consistent :D

That's Ralf for you

Simple answer to the question in bold... Would an Emo be a Girls Aloud fan?

And on the Honda thingy, I think for the past 2 or 3 seasons they have run the black livery in the end of season testing as well as the pre season!

Fastest lap of the test as well. Being on the final day the track would be in the best possible condition but still a note worthy achievement.
