Moss ahead of Fangio (maybe in sportcar/endurance racing, but in GP racing) is pure blasphemy. errrrrr.giferrrrrr.giferrrrrr.gif

Hill the son, 1 WDC in the best car, better then Hill the father 2 WDCs in not the best car. reddevile.gif

Hakkinen better then Schumacher ?! reddevile.gif

40. Mike Hawthorn ?!?!

The worst WDC in history placed so high. Blashpemy. reddevile.giferrrrrr.gif

Now just a look at this:

33. Rudolf Caracciola

32. Fernando Alonso

31. Nigel Mansell

30. Lewis Hamilton

29. Kimi Raikkonen

28. Keke Rosberg

:wtf::furious::excl:

Rosberg Snr's place is yet again blasphemy. He's placed way to high, while 3 times European GP champion (35, 37, 38) Caracciola (till Schumi the most successful german GP driver) is placed way too low.

Mansell better Alonso ?! errrrrr.gif

What's Hamilton doing on this list ?!

And where are Boilot, Nazarro, Barnini and Antonio Ascari ?!

As opposed to whom Ralph and Trulli ?!

Again blasphemy. :wtf::furious::excl:

27. Dan Guerney

...

23. Guy Moll

...

15. Carlos Reutemann

14. Tony Brooks

13. Chris Amon

WT* ?!

Again WT* ?!

Alberto Ascari ahead of the likes of Fangio, Nuvolari and Rosemeyer ?!

Senna and Prost ahead of Fangio, Nuvolari or Rosemeyer ?!

Even Senna said he would have stoped at 5 WDCs because he simply couldn't consider himself better then Fangio.

This list makes no sense.

How can you compare the 30's style of racing to now?

When all you are doing is relying on history books basically...

I just couldn't believe Mark Webber wasn't in the list...

One of the silliest "Top 100" list I have ever read tbh...

He stayed then, in his world - in the world that is him and the car. Rhythmic and in perfect harmony. About other things, like winning the championship - Kimi could not even begin to think. Not until the end. Not until that piece of wood and cloth that is the flag was waved as he crossed the line. Not until the radio crackled. Not until he saw their faces - the faces of the fans, of the trackside marshals, of the Ferrari guys who were now yelling and jumping and screaming as he drove into the parc ferm

Most all time lists are silly by definition, but I agree that this one is just too much even for the average all time list.

I would call it "The only 100 names of drivers I know of, in a more or less random order"

I think no.1 is right, though it has absolutely nothing to do with Moss being my favourite driver :whistling:

I agree that Kimi and Alonso are *very* gifted, Kimi especially but I'm holding out until they've gone a little further before I rate them above drivers like JYS.

Alan Henry is a very respected F1 Journo, but that list is ridiculous!

Schumacher - 11

Lewis/Kimi above Nando

Most won't take the list seriously and may claim the old man has gone senile
